Problems with Tubbs' loan apparently.
Missing my first home game of the season due to ill-health today - should be back on form at the weekend.

From Braintree's forum this morning -
"The covers were put on the pitch Thursday and they have done their job keeping water off the pitch after all the rain we had overnight, but help is needed tomorrow morning at 9am to take the covers off to ensure our game with Eastleigh goes ahead."

from MCFC - "Sixteen-year-old midfielder Tom Holland signed on as a first year scholar with City in July 2013, just reward for his skilful performances in the centre of the park.
Tom started his career at Bradford and spent time with Leeds before making the move across the Pennines to Manchester.
A technical player with the vision to pick out a great pass, Tom is a valuable asset to the Academy and has already made a bright start to his international future as a regular member of the Ireland u17 squad."
From SCFC March 2015 - "Swansea City U21s came from behind to win 2-1 against Leeds United yesterday evening at the Liberty Stadium, and what’s more they had a new face on display.
Marked out as “trialist” on the Swans’ official site it’s easy to understand a sense of intrigue surrounding the player, and it’s now been confirmed that the trialist was Tom Holland, a seventeen-year-old Irish youth international on the books at Man City.
A talented midfielder who has represented Ireland at U17 level, he clearly interests the Swans for us to have taken such a close look at him so hopefully he’s someone the club feel will improve our youth setup."

Firstly I don't get all this business about the pitch, looked not too bad, all things considered, certainly didn't stop some decent football being played tonight. Massive credit too all those who have worked on it to make it the best it can be at the moment. Agree 100% - It's not a bowling green but it still allows for good football. Guess we have to live with it until the new stadium is agreed. Great result tonight which has put us back in the hunt for a play-off place. I'd be happy with 5th place and 2 play-off games with CTFC - I didn't think they were anything special and we've taken 4 points out of six from them.

Bomber, I'm not saying we shouldn't have terracing - I've been a passionate standee (despite my arthritis for the last 10 years) since the 1959 FA Cup Amateur Cup quarter-final at the old Richmond Road ground of Kingstonian FC. BUT there's no point in designing a ground in 2016 that is a copy of a 1959 ground.

Top 11 are all ex-league clubs - no surprise there.

I'm sure we will have normal terracing in the new ground. That is not what Stewart said as the last fans forum. Don't know if changed since then, but said safe standing. To be fair, SD made clear at the Forum that the prime concern was to future proof the new ground and make it capable of hosting League football beyond League 2. No point in locking us into conventional terracing only to find the League wants all seating or "safe-standing" 2 or 3 years down the road. The new ground has to be for the 2020's and beyond.

You'd think they'd like to begin with the two big open spaces alongside the Main Stand Rendel so that capacity doesn't drop too much while building it. SD touched on this a while back - that was (then) his preferred option. It would minimise the time we have to spend with temporary changing rooms and the like.

I find myself doubting if we will see him again this season.

Well, Ben S. being banned until 28 March probably hasn't improved our chances !!

"Doesn't take a lot before people start shouting obscene chants about the management and board." Perhaps these "fans" should crawl back to whatever club they used to watch or was it a case of one whiff of the barmaid's apron?
