Anyone know why this game is not being played Saturday instead of Tuesday evening?? Neither team is playing this weekend!! There was an opportunity here for a really big attendance Saturday that will fall by many hundreds for a cold dark night down the lane, in what is our home game of the season. Did Cheltenham decline the chance to play Saturday, or did the league oppose the switch? It makes no sense but there has to be a reason its not been done, a private booking perhaps?

I might be wrong, but i thought this got brought up last week and there was a valid reason? I can't find it though?

I was questioning why too? It seems very odd

Cheltenham did not want to switch the game - they were asked!

Sounds very political on their part!

Despite the woeful form we are still a dangerous team. I can see why they want the extra prep time and not to give us a bigger crowd. 2v1 home win!

Playing a bit of politics to deny a big home crowd is naughty. What are they afraid of!!! Cheltenham have lost only twice this season, each time to an injury time winner, and unbeaten since Sept 26th. They played midweek, maybe they thought it unfair we didn't, they wouldn't have thought that if it was the other way round.

In fairness we do not know why Cheltenham preferred the fixture to remain as it is. I would have also thought though that fewer Cheltenham fans would be able to make a Tuesday fixture.

They played Gateshead on Tuesday instead of today due to The FA Trophy, they are the best side in the league without question and they could have been more helpful IMO. Still its done now, hopefully I will be there Tuesday night anyway.

The match had been in the calendar for seven months and they might not have wanted to bring the match forward at less than three week's notice, having already bought forward a fixture that they were playing in the same week.
Actually if we did want a fixture yesterday I do not know whether it might have been possible to play Altrincham who did not have a game and have yet to visit the Silverlake, although this is only an after thought.
One supporter I spoke to last week thought we still had a game on the 27th, so perhaps it could have made clearer as soon as it was definitely jnown that we had no game, especially as we have a very good Match Secretary.
