If I'm honest, I'm not too disappointed.
Howe has been great for us, I'm not sure how many loan players have been made captain in the past but I think that suggests what type of person he is.
However the fact is we haven't managed to keep a clean sheet for 22 matches. Of course that's not all his fault but collectively the defending has let us down this season, no question about that. As I've said previously I don't think Howe & Boyce are a good partnership, both are ball winners and both lack pace..
I think with Cresswell on the brink of a return we have a good four centre halfs in the squad.
Any news on Reda?

Should imagine one section would be reserved for the exec club/hospitality..
I'm not sure how the terracing below is going to work though, the design of the stairs would suggest a very restricted view?
Probably better off with the design of the current stand which run straight and flat standing in front...

Goal scoring hasn't been the issue this season - it has been our inability to defend and keep clean sheets. 21 games it has been since our last which ironically was against Guiseley.
Why?
Stack & Flitney constantly fighting injury has been one reason (all be it Stack in particular has kept us in games at times) but again - age issue?
I don't actually think Howe & Boyce are a good partnership. Both good players don't get me wrong but as with all our centre halfs in the past - lack pace. Both are ball winners and I think Boyce in particular has been found out a couple of times in the last 20 minutes of games this season.
Hoyte has done ok at full back, Wood is not a natural full back and simply covering for Greener who we will be without for a while.
Cresswell & Reda together would probably be the best pairing in the league by a mile, how many times have they actually played? let alone together.
Miley has come on massively and for me is now the first name on the team sheet along with Matthews.
Hollands lacks pace and Togwell well.. let's hope it was a quiet Christmas!

As far as I’m aware the next phase of planning is indeed to extend to the new clubhouse. In the same planning application we are applying for a permanent stand in the mackoy with bars underneath in a concourse, very exciting times ahead, it’s great seeing the ground build up. Excited to see the team up the right end of the table very soon...
Great news, still plenty of developments to make the ground decent but the improvements have been extremely good. Some praise for the club and especially SD funding the redevelopments.
Do we know if the green stand will be terracing or remain seating with a concourse below?

Ground is looking great, the new stand will be a welcome addition and I'm sure it will be a good view.
Assuming the next stage will be to extend the other side of the blue stand with seats?
Still hard to believe around 14-15 years ago the ground was tree lined with a small wooden stand where the current blue one is today.

Because its all about him, I agree nobody would be able to work with RH if he was manager and a DOF was in place. On the flip side of that, who actually (other than AH, Strevens or McAllister) would want to work with him as DOF? I don't think anybody... I really hope AH does well and turns things round, but the biggest question is how much influence will RH have. It's so difficult at the moment because we tried every possible avenue last year - went for the rookie, went for experience, then a know how and back to somebody SD trusts. I'd love to see Luke Garrard of Boreham Wood with a decent budget, I can only see his management career going upwards. he would not have liked anyone else telling what to do if a DoF was above him, so why would he expect to have that influence and power himself?

I am not a Richard Hill fan, and I don't think he should have appointed himself in the summer.
AH appointment was on the cards and probably in the pipeline when he was appointed as assistant manager at the start of the season.
Does RH feel he's sorted 'last years' problems out and can pass on to AH or has he gone 'upstairs' to secure his job if this season ends in disappointment?
I think the majority of the players like AH, which of course is massive.
Let's give him some time to turn things round, and see how the team shapes up. Not 1 or 2 games but let's see if things have improved with 10 games to go.
The big question is how much involvement will RH have with tactics and on field stuff - hopefully none.

Yes man it is then.
I hope AH does well, I really do but feel RH will still have too much influence.
I would love to see Luke Garrard at Boreham Wood given a chance with a decent budget, he's doing well there and is a young manager.

the saviour of our season, a welcome distraction from our battle at the bottom. A cup run to keep us interested and dream of a Wembley visit...

What a bizarre game, for a neutral that was brilliant!
Some comical defending from both sides however and I think a draw was probably a fair result.
1st goal - Stack could have probably come, striker got between the two defenders
2nd goal - Howe got too tight to Williams who had a burst of pace, great finish but nobody come over to help Howe.
3rd goal - Howe sat off, decent strike to be fair
The 4th goal was the worst for me. RH took off Wood with 8 minutes to go, fair enough he's just come back from injury but that substitution nearly cost us the game. Heslop was flat on his backside for the last 10-15 minutes and changing the back four nearly did us. Again, Boyce didn't come across and double up when he should have done.
Great strike from Sam Matthews with his wrong foot in the area of the pitch he should be playing.

But I expect... 4-4-2, McAllister on in the 66th minute.

He's had a go at the supporters, now the players... any chance of him taking responsibility for our poor results & performances?
We play 4-4-2, we try and play in the final third by hitting it long to our strikers and McAllister comes on between 60-70 minutes every week?
Same every week and it doesn't change? Does this go on all season until we finally win a game of football? or can the manager try something slightly different to see if it works?

As predicted...
I thought we would get beat, we did I thought we would have no game plan, we didn't I thought we would whack it long and give our strikers no service, we did I was certain McAllister would come on around 65 minutes for a change, he did
Same as last week and will be the same next week. Whilst I am confident we will stay up, there's no question we should be looking over our shoulders. Torquay may have found a bit of form, you would expect Orient to sort their problems out.. Don't want to be going into the last 5 games with a risk of relegation.

Are you going to complain to Sutton Utd?
It's a breach of the Sex Discrimination Act of 1975. From the Equality and Human Rights Commission: Service providers are not allowed to discriminate unlawfully when providing goods or services to people. Discrimination when providing services means: - refusing to provide a service - providing a lower standard of service - offering a service on different terms than you would to other people. If an organisation provides a service to consumers, it also needs to avoid discrimination in how it provides that service. This includes discrimination on the grounds of: - disability - gender - race - religion or belief - sexual orientation This applies to all organisations that provide goods, facilities or services to the public, whether paid for or free, and no matter how large or small they are. For example, a nightclub runs ladies’ nights where women receive free drinks, two-for-one offers or free admission. This is sex discrimination.

No different to letting kids in for free or any other incentive to boost crowds/gain interest elsewhere.
Fair play to Sutton, I'm more concerned watching us potentially get a hammering.
Let's hope the team have been training at Fleming Park this week on the 4G surface otherwise we all know the excuse RH will use if we have a bad result.
