I think Clarke has been brought in as number one. If so he must be seriously good, because in my opinion RF is one of the best keepers in our league.

We are the luckiest people in the world to have SD at our club. One day he will be gone and these will be considered the golden days of EFC. He is right, a lot of you are a miserable bunch. As for JamieC, I am looking forward to seeing him. I will be there Saturday. Sometimes I think SD must be the most patient and understanding man of all time. God bless him.

Would anyone be miffed with RM if he were to take the vacant role?

RM is great. Exactly what you want to hear. Early days, I know, but he was a really terrific choice.

Pleased for Rich Hill, I have zero doubt he will get them promoted this year or next.
I will be amazed if he gets them promoted ever! And if he dose he will deserve a knighthood. Playing at Conf South is above their station, and unless the owners have seriously deep pockets, promotion would require a miracle. As for Dan Harding, said he was no big deal in the National, this rather makes the point.

Its him that has to understand the refs, not the other way round! That said, before last nights game, we had one of the best disciplinary records in this division, having had one of the worst last season. Not sure what has brought about the transformation, but whatever it is, we need to keep doing it. It crucified us last year, and if we start stacking up reds and yellows, it'll crucify us this season as well.

Jai has obviously provided great entertainment here over the last 4 years and takes a lot of credit for the team's rise to where it is now.
However, I thought he was disappointing for most of last season - This season, he's been OK when I've seen him, but not outstanding. He worked hard but we've already got a lot of hard workers in the squad.
Yes, he's a matchwinner on his day and is potentially still the best dead-ball striker in the club. But for me he hasn't really delivered consistently in the last 12 months or so - why that is, as I say, I don't know.
My opinion exactly.

And for those who like entertainment, what a game Swansea Chelsea was! Mind you the goals Chelsea gave away were terrible. If we had had defended like that we would be calling for the manager to be sacked.
Wasn't there Saturday, but re the Saints scores during our game NO, No and NO again. Put another way when they start giving our score while they are playing, I am happy for us to do likewise.

After hoping for 2,000 at Eastleigh, he will doing well to get 200 there. Talk about a culture shock! Good luck to him. An integral part of the history of our club.

but I would suggest the we put our reserves into the Wessex Division One next season.
Totally agree. It's an obvious thought. It does still beg the question of exactly what is the purpose of our reserve, and indeed youth teams. I know we have been over this on a number of occasions, but I have to admit I am still scratching my head.

A nice gesture. The sort of thing that helps make us a club, rather than just supporters following a team.

Competing with Mark Barratt as the biggest player to ever don the EFC shirt. Any other contenders?

A solid 7/10 performance, against a gutsy team who kept going the whole game, against a team superior to them in every aspect. Some of the short pass and move stuff was lovely to watch, and we were a threat from every set piece. Would have liked to have seen a couple of more goals and Constable does seem a little low on confidence at the moment. I am nit picking though. three wins on the bounce, 4 without conceding a goal, these are great times at the Silverlake, and what a guess for the attendance 1883 - so only 3 out! If I was a Southport player I would not be looking forward to next Saturday. RM - WE SALUTE YOU!
