Other possibly relevant facts (according to Wikipedia):
34, played six seasons for Oxford United, and was on the winning side in a Conference playoff final (despite scoring an own goal). Hardly played last season.
Whither the other Ryan now? Didn't play at Alresford last night.

Our transfer policy is obviously if you are called Ryan you are in.

5 clean sheets in 7 - assuming Ryan Huddard's loan has been terminated this is a bizarre signing.
Not knowing the in's and out's - but terminated his contract at Wimbledon this morning now joins Eastleigh on a two year deal? Didn't settle at Wimbledon, will be interesting to see what happens.
In Ronnie we trust however!!

A goalkeeper was the last position I thought we needed to strength. We have now got three goalkeepers. The manager was saying the other week are squad is to big so surely one has to go.

Please not Ross. He's certainly a safe set of hands and has managed to keep consecutive clean sheets. Ok his kicks might not be fantastic but, during the reign of RM, he's been in fantastic form and certainly deserving of that number one jersey. Why do we need another keeper? I fear the minute Ross makes a mistake, the new Ryan will be stepping in :-(

To be fair Ross's kicking has inproved this season don't see why we need another keeper I thought a striker was needed that can get 20+ goals a season to play along side mandron cause I think beno has had his day

Ross was certainly being given an earful by his defenders during the Southport game, so think he is going to have to fight for his place. Doesn't help himself when every goal kick at the shed end lands on the managers head!

Just because we have signed a keeper it doesn't mean a new striker isn't coming in...

..I think we need a few more squad players who will never get a game, someone to replace Ayo for starters....At least 2 more CH's.
Seriously, i'm surprised we have gone in for another keeper, but maybe RM wants all the old guard gone, as new managers often do.
A striker and another creative midfielder would be top of my list. Then we need to ship at least 3 out.
I don't see Bird playing much, so he could go. Wilson seems to either be long term injured or has been frozen out, so could go. Beano may be moved on if we bring another striker in (although i would keep 4 strikers). Not sure how long Dugdale would want to stay as a permanent sub, although if Reda was injured or rested, then he is the replacement. I assume anyone going out on loan, will not really come back and feature.

Having seen Ross and Ryan play on numerous occasions, my opinion is that Ryan will stop shots that Ross could only stand and watch. However Ryan is prone to the odd rush of blood that can end in disaster. Overall he is a very good signing and as good as any currently playing in the Conference.

On the face of it, it looks like it could be the end for Ryan Huddart, which is a shame - but at this level you don't get many chances as a young keeper.
I think Clarke has been brought in as a strong keeper to challenge Flitney for number 1 spot, with the theory that 2 keepers really pushing each other for the jersey will bring out the best in them.
