77 from Eastleigh.
Personally I thought it was great that Jai Reason got a full 90 minutes.

Brilliant and well done to the team and all supporters who got up to Macclesfield. How did we play? Could we have had more or did we just scrape it? How did Jai do? Any injuries? Were the pies OK? Hope you all got back safely.

Arrived at 10 past 3 due to bad travel planning, but many thanks to Stewart we got in the ground as soon as we got there. The first half hour was a little flat,Macclesfield playing very direct and looking for their main threat danny rowe. We kept our shape very well throughout the game and Taylor and Coulson particularly I thought were outstanding. Jai did ok,nothing spectacular but a little bit rusty (to be expected) Beano should have had at least two but lacked the confidence to shoot, instead passing across goal which was very frustrating. The other chance was a free header in the box from Jai's cross, which he totally missed to our disbelief. All in all,a deserved win and if someone told me last week we would get 4 points from FGR and an in form Macclesfield I would have been extremely happy. Pie and a pint for a fiver top notch.

Thanks efcspitfires. You should do fans away day reports for the matchday magazine. Fiver for a pie and a pint! I can see two coaches going to Macclesfield if we play them next year.

Fair comments on the game by efcspitfire. We were the better team throughout the game without really looking threatening. 1-0 fair reflection of the game which rarely excited. We again looked very solid at the back, just lacking a little in inspiration up front, which at this stage of the season and where we are in the league is not of great concern. Have full confidence that RM will change things & get it right in due course.

Would agree with all that except I was level with jai's cross to beano and was a fair distance away from him, Beano just needs couple goals to get some confidence. Taylor had a very good game in midfield. Good run with some decent refs wouldn't go a miss so inconsistent today. Re the travel it was a nightmare trip but thanks to Stewart's generosity we were able to get straight in to the ground as soon as we got there. Travel needs a whole overhaul timings and possibly even company, not good enough.

Glad to hear RM say in the post match interview that he wasn't planning on getting rid of Jai - 'it's his place to lose' were his words so if he were to leave it would be his decision. Must be pretty demoralising watching from the stands though - hardly getting on the bench. However I'd still rather see Howells take those free kicks. Hope everyone had a great away day, despite the late arrival (which I understand Stewart dealt with immediately to get the travelling fans straight in). I'm sure you're all home safely now.

Agree with previous posts very solid performance from Eastleigh Taylor was my man of the match but coulston looked really sharp TBH we looked liked the home side in control for the majority of the game Very good awayday but I have a sneaky suspicion that mandron might be on his way Stewart called him over at the end of the match and was having a conversation with him has an offer come in for him from a big club.?

If it has, then he can't go anywhere until January anyway. That's presuming it's not a club in our league which I highly doubt.

Do you really think that Stewart would do that at the end of a game, side of the pitch? Wouldn't think so........Monday morning more likely. He might have said " what happened today Mikael you didn't score?"............lol

Brilliant day out.....yet again missed the goal...still in the bar!!!! That's 17 I've missed now in 4 seasons lol. Very solid at the back and we just need a cutting edge up front, but I'll be happy with twenty 1-0 wins this season for 60 points!!!! We're getting into position now to start our challenge, exciting times ahead, something special is beginning to brew!!! COYS.

Great victory. Had to listen through Ian Wilding's commentary today as i couldn't make the trip, but we sounded in total control. Glad to hear Jai starting again and hope he can change the minds of those in charge, because replacing that creativity isn't easy to find. Our defence is awesome, if we can keep Reda fit and playing every game, we really do have a very solid base to work from and i would expect to see quite a few 1-0 victories with him in the side & with this back four being as tight as they are. Well done all. Shame to hear about the coach issues, arrived 2 hours early Tuesday night & 10mins after KO yesterday, strange?
