Tony Adams wasn't a bad player!

Earlier this year they put the wrong date on the paper - yes they really did!

In my world, I would make a decision on the manager in the Summer, and he would have the job for the whole season, with a review at the end of the season. In the modern world long contracts are an irrelevance. Just a rolling contract one season at a time.

Ronnie out, with or without a question mark, can only be a negative subject! I believe RM should be given the season, no matter what, at the end of it, time to chat with the relevant people and then make a decision for next season. After all lets suppose we were to change mangers, the new guy comes in, in his first 5 games, we pick up 4,5,6 points - are we going to change manager again. Leave him in, support the club, and take stock come May.

Would have thought a pitch inspection a certainty.

When I first started reading this thread I thought it might be a joke, having now read all the replies, I am still wondering. If we were to sack RM now, we would be utterly bonkers!

Without doubt the greatest day in the history of our football club. It doesn't get much better than this.

Don't care what we paid for him, what position he plays in, the fact that he is cup tied. What I do care is that he has PACE!

going to be three tough away games in the next week!
We'll agree on that. I think it could potentially be season defining.

The absolute 100% last thing we need to worry about right now is when we will be playing our second round tie, if we beat Swindon. Lets hope we have 100's of fans moaning like crazy about the time/date; because that means we have beaten Swindon, which would be fantastic.

We are of course entitled to our opinions, but I am staggered that anyone can say York were "very poor". I thought their passing and movement was exceptional, and for a team on the run they were on, barely believable. Admittedly they didn't pose much of a danger up front, but they were tenacious and their determination to play out from the back at every opportunity, was admirable. No way in a million years have York been playing like this all season. I will be amazed if they are anywhere near the relegation places come April.
As a game I thought it was pretty good. True we are not as incisive as we need to be, and we did have a number of balls whizzing across the 6 yard box, crying for a foot to be put through it. I am, to be blunt not sure this team is good enough to be where we all want it to be, but I am convinced we need to stay calm, let RM get on with it, and hope for the best. I have absolutely no doubt we are capable of beating Swindon, and right now we just need a result to get a bit of belief to return.

Love to be proven wrong, but I bet we struggle to beat York. 100% field the strongest team, and then if and when we are 3 up, make whatever changes are necessary. Personally I'm going for a very tight 2-1; that is assuming the game isn't postponed due to a waterlogged pitch!

Good draw. Now the small matter of Swindon, who by the sound of it, need the money more than we do!
