The league always has to remain our priority - after all it's so difficult to get out of (as we say again and again). However those FA cup games last season were my favourite moments watching Eastleigh, providing the most amazing atmosphere; particularly away at Crewe and Bolton! We may have ended our season by playing on that boggy pitch (Silver-lake anyone?!) against Bolton but it was worth it for me. Let's just push for all we can get and have a great season :-)

They've just completely lost their passion and drive. On the money they earn it was a disgrace. Wish I could keep that patriotism alive but I'll just have to look forward to the start of the new National League season instead! 👍

Maybe won't feel the same when we play against him!

I don't know what went wrong with our international side and the patriotism of our country standing together, united in their support but I don't feel that we should just dismiss them on this poor run. We support out teams through thick and thin but I certainly think they should look at the starting XI tonight. Would love to see an attacking side with Sturridge, Vardy and Rashmore up front (don't understand why Harry Kane gets the nod over Vardy personally) Have such fond memories of Euro 96 of a country proud of our team and hearing 'Three Lions' being sung everywhere! Was that really 20 years ago?!

Shame for the club but we shouldn't stand in his way when he gets bigger opportunities. Just hope he won't spend the whole season on the bench. Good luck to him.

Operation news.....In tremendous pain today anaesthetic wearing off and painkillers not helping much. Going to be a battle to be able to make my parents diamond wedding celebration dinner next Monday...the hall knee op was easy to cope with, a full knee replacement is something else...as SunnySaturdays said...no pain no gain but crikey!!!!! Hope you've got some serious painkillers from the hospital - none of these namby-pamby over the counter types - Stick to opiates. Good luck for Monday. I'd imagine you would be on an 'as needed' morphine pump so that you just press a button when in pain and it will deliver a dose (and no - you can't overdose on it or keep pressing it to get much bigger doses!!). Orthopaedic surgery is very painful and I don't think I'd be too impressed if they just gave me a bit of paracetamol/ibuprofen! Be warned though - the physios are there getting you up and about pretty much as soon as you wake up from the anaesthetic and as soon as you can do the stairs that's it - home!! Get well soon

We are spending more on the pitch than ever before and purchasing some major equipment that should see massive improvements. That work commences next week I believe. Regarding the parking. Maple Manor are vacating the site in 4 months so we will regain around 100 spaces on a match day - we will lose 20 with the new clubhouse so an overall gain of 80 is a start. We are also putting in planning when the ground designs go for additional car parking. Whilst also negotiating on additional parking facilities close by. Thanks Stewart. You sir, are a legend ! We don't know how lucky we are to have a chairman with such ambition and passion for his club. His continuous generosity and drive to make Eastleigh FC a community club are unsurpassed and to top it all off he cheers his club on from the terraces, listens to what the fans would like and goes out of his way to welcome new supporters. Bravo Stewart!!!

Hope you're recovery is a speedy one SOE and that your new knee is ready for next season. Certainly don't blame you for going for a general anaesthetic!!
As for you being a panic manic fan, wouldn't the forum be a boring place if everyone had the same opinion?!!

Surely on top of a car park! :-) Obviously on a multi storey one to avoid any further parking complaints

Good luck to the lad. He deserves some more playing time so will perhaps join a lower league club and get the experience he needs. So is Poke staying or are we having a new number 2 (or even number 1) keeper? Ross had some exceptional games especially towards to end of the season and in my opinion deserves to keep his slot. Hopefully we'll find out a few more of Stewart's and Toddy's plans for the coming season soon. If there are lots of changes the team need all the training time they can get together ASAP! Is it really sad to be getting excited for the pre-season friendly's despite the fact the season has only just finished??!! Not possible as all our new signings will be playing in the Euros. You dreaming again sunnysaturdays? !!

Why can't they get it back in line with the other leagues? I know four have to come up from conf north and conf south but it must make it the hardest league to get promoted from.

Yes just seen that about Noice. Don't think he did a lot wrong. I thought Flitney was outstanding last season, he would certainly be my number 1. If Poke is two, then there's a space for a highly talented younger keeper to be number 3. Good luck to the lad. He deserves some more playing time so will perhaps join a lower league club and get the experience he needs. So is Poke staying or are we having a new number 2 (or even number 1) keeper?
