For those of you who don't have it Stewart has just posted this on Facebook. Exciting times ahead for the Spitfires
Plans for the stadium onto the next level but as mentioned in my notes tomorrow we are also planning to redevelop the clubhouse and extend it on two floors the length of the North stand for new exec club, club shop, offices, police control room, lift, school classroom etc etc. Portakabins are to be removed and replaced with new permanent facilities. Plans being submitted to the council next week and work should be concluded before the start of the season and start in June. Keep an eye out for it Spitfires - start of the redevelopment. Bobcat and shovels at the ready - are we ready TSSC to lend a hand!!!! Will mean proper glasses next season and a massive increase in our capacity to feed and water people in nice surroundings!!! A full press release next week but thought I would just give you the heads up!!

Our ground plans seem to change quite a bit!
Expanding the club house is definately a big priority though, I only hope we can get it done for the new season, could be quite a tight schedule

Agreed L&P, if we could get some one to put on here and the supporters Facebook site what needs to happen etc daily then I think a lot more will turn up, maybe even give it its own section on the forum?

Yup sounds like a good idea. I note the Agm is in May so could be a good time to coordinate efforts.
Obviously the euros is this summer so possibly they could be a good time for fans to get involved as well, as doubtless the club with be showing the England games in the clubhouse.
Half a days work at the ground followed by watching the football & having a beer?

surely this will be carried out by contractors , so people wont have access to the areas due to health and safety issues, What are the supporters planning on getting involved in ,mind you i do have good carpenters at my disposal !

School classroom... Is that for detention for our strikers on an off-day? Please write 100 times...."It's that 192 square feet of space at the end of the pitch with a net behind it" ....or maybe singing lessons for the supporters?

Lol it's for the scholarship lads (16-18) who show a lot of potential and get both academic teaching and football training. Think Lee Peacock runs it.

Gone a bit quiet on the stadium plans, which must be annoying. Two weeks lost already I assume because the plans haven't got the approval from the council yet? I guess the longer the delay in starting, the more likely work will be continuing into the new season and that poses all sorts of different issues surely in H&S regulations for a start. Eastleigh Council are very slow on this, yet happily decide to spend £3.6 million of our money to build a supermarket for Marks and Spencers in the town and let them rent it...meanwhile EFC can't spend their own money on improving the ground!!!!!
