I haven't asked any questions, i do not need to. I wasn't at the game. I'm just making the point that those who were at the game, were then very quick to condemn our own fans for their part in the "ugly scenes". I'm also making the point that the person who started this thread, despite stating that he didn't feel this kind of thing should be put on our forum, then went ahead and started an entire thread about it. I've no doubt in my mind that anyone "caught up in the ugly scenes" will have been more heroic than those either fleeing the scene and making swift exits, or anyone who ran home & then pointed a finger from the safety of their armchair once they got home from the game. I make no apologies about this, but i feel the hero's who helped their fellow fans are far better people than those who jump straight onto a computer to condemn what they saw from their own fans. There is talk about "our no.1 fan" being abused (i assume that means Kyle?) If you all stood by and watched that and allowed it to happen, then you should all be ashamed of yourselves. There is talk on this thread about us not needing "those type of fans" - I quite agree, we don't need the cowardly computer warrior fans who are prepared to try and name & shame their own & those who were protecting themselves from the oppositions idiot fans & were maybe sticking up for Kyle. You should all be ashamed of yourselves for walking by and not helping Kyle in that situation, preferring to make a swift exit and rush home to your keyboards to make a big deal of it on here. Perhaps you need to know a fan and their circumstances before judging them and being so aggressive on here.

Segregation is standard in the conference. I know but I was trying to say that we never had segregation in conf south and, despite this never had any of these problems. Maybe it gets worse the higher up the league you get? Or maybe we have gained a few supporters there just to make trouble? Very sad when SD puts so much effort into making Eastleigh FC a family friendly club who we should be proud to have in our 'village team in Hampshire' lol. Only seems to be away games too.

Superb - I thought he'd only committed until the end of the season. Really hope he doesn't leave us but he's stated that he feels there is more he has to offer Eastleigh. Look forward to seeing more of him next season

Glad the glass didn't do any damage but what if it was one of our youngsters? It's a pretty sad state when young kids are subjected to seeing and being victims of this violence (not to mention the abuse shouted at our number one young fan). We never used to have segregation in conf south - I wonder why the trouble (which admittedly is at the minority of matches) is happening now?

It's strange how these stories tend to only appear once a year - just after we have played Woking! I've been to their ground several times watching several different teams and there always seems to be aggro. I wasn't there so i'm not saying Spitfire 'fans' are totally innocent, but there is a recurring theme here! Don't really think the stewards knew what they were doing. In the second half a bunch of Eastleigh fans went further down the terracing nearer the Woking fans so maybe there was a big of aggro there. Lots of emotion and lots of alcohol = ?!!

Being an exile mine's a bit different! 1) Walking into the ground before the Kidderminster game for my first home game in about 3 years and just thinking WOW!!! 2) The TV coverage we received over here in the States for the Cup run 3) Reading & comparing the comments on here, and on another local teams forum after we failed to make the play offs, and they got relegated - showing just how far this club has come thanks to everyone from SD through the management team to the fans. Funny you got the TV coverage over there!! No one was interested in us until they suddenly realised we could actually make the fourth round when they sent a few tv cameras to film 'football focus'. They're more interested in showing Man Utd/Arsenal etc!

We were parked in the car park and the police dogs were arriving just as we made a swift exit. Wasn't comfortable exiting to the car park will all the commotion going on. A taxi driver actually said 'well that's a good display for your clubs reputation'. It's an embarrassment and these so called fans should be named and shamed. Certainly don't want other clubs to feel the need to up their security when the 'hooligans from Eastleigh' visit.

I suspect the final will be between Grimsby and Forest Green with Grimsby going up. Think they deserve to be a league side again and we wouldn't have to contend with them again next season.

1 Final whistle at Crewe with players and fans celebrating on and off the pitch - such emotion
2. Both the Bolton games. The away trip was a heck of a long day but oh so worth it. Also managed to meet up with an old school friend up there after 20 years
3. Making Toddy Gaffer
4. Signing Luke Coulson
5. The free games which brought in a bumper crowd and both brought out the best in our team.
COYS. it's certainly not all bad after only two seasons in this league.

I think the reported 41 away fans at Grimsby says it all. it would appear that people do not want to watch us play this "don't lose at any cost football", anymore? I would go to every away match if I could. Unfortunately being unable to work makes the cost unmanageable and my disability makes it hard to make the long journeys - they are such long days! There do seem to be a lot of northern clubs in our league at the moment too. However we'll be there will bells and whistles on (no that's not an indicator of our fancy dress!!!) this Saturday. Hopefully we bring a big noisy crowd to support the lads despite the result. They deserve our being there and our support. COYS :-)

If Grimsby bottle it again this year I can see them being in the National League for the foreseeable future. Even if we do get in, the play offs are the weakest this season that they have been of several seasons, so this really is Grimsby's best chance. I still think Grimsby have been the best side to visit the Silverlake this season. They will be tough to beat in the play offs.

Fantastic! 200 new supporters is such an achievement. I hope some have joined due to the generosity of Stewart Donald for the two free games which were both absolute crackers! Can we exceed 1200 this year then as we had just over 1000 last year? COYS

Unless we are offered silly money (100K+) we MUST keep Luke Coulson. We need to build a squad around people like him I guess it depends if his agent has set up a clause to allow him to talk to clubs. He is young and I am sure he'll want league football soon. Just hope we have got a sell on clause if he does goes on to bigger clubs. He has got the raw ingredients to play at Championship level. Yes he could play at championship level but I'd expect to see him sat on the bench for the majority of the time. He deserves more than that

It is mathematically possible to be in the play offs but the season is over. Listening to Todd after the game you sensed that from him too. Credit to the Tranmere they were a decent team and pinched a winner. We offered virtually nothing in attack all day. Without Constable there was no threat. When Midson was withdrawn in the second half I felt we would concede possession and go on to lose. I know it has been much debated on here but Tubbs has been a dreadfully disappointing signing.Tood's January business was poor. This team are good but not promotion material. We've only played well in patches during 2016 and I don't think we have really moved on much after Hill. In particular we have not found a decent replacement for Macallister. Time for a clear out and a fresh approach. The club have moved forward hugely off the field and it was another great crowd today. The future is still very bright and I am looking forward to the summer. Our season is not 'over'. We have a big local game next weekend at Woking and need to show the lads our support. Hopefully we'll take a big crowd but I suspect those who are questioning our manager, players and the fact we (virtually) haven't made the play offs will stay at home feeling despondent and blaming Toddy and his recent signings for our 'failure'. I reiterate we have only been in this league for two seasons and it's a league notoriously difficult to get out of. We'll be there - probably not in fancy dress but to cheer the lads on. Come on Eastleigh!!
