What these people don't realise is that supporters have to get to Sutton on 7th August and Barnet on the 11th DO THEY NOT UNDERSTAND HOW IMPORTANT THAT IS RIGHT NOW?
Spirit is not sleeping at night worrying that someone (probably not him) might have to pay market rates to get to Sutton and it's just not fair, forget Brexit, forget Trump, forget homeless people and children being abused, it is vital that those people who volunteer their own time freely, provide a superb service, especially to those who have no intention of using said service, otherwise they could just spend their free time on here slagging off the people who will step into the breach to replace them.
p.s. just for those who miss my sarcasm above, I actually think that those coming on here slagging off TSSC because of some faux agenda, are bang out of order and miss the irony of writing on the TSSC forum to slag off people who give their time freely

Just think people with a certain level of income are priced out of so many things.
It is a massive plus for me to be part of something where you feel it is inclusive and you are not being milked for every penny.
Would be a shame if that changed, appreciate that SDs money made it possible but that doesn't mean we have to change a core value of the club.

Have no idea of the revenue raised from season tickets, but with an average of 1000 season ticket holders I cannot imagine it would be much more than £200,000, so if you double the price and lose say 20% of those ticket holders who can no longer afford to go, you will only earn an extra £120,000, given a decent player at our level would probably cost at least that per season, I'm not sure I see the benefit of pushing away fans for such a small financial gain. Obviously if that player were to push us up the table then we may increase the crowds that way and I guess earn extra prize money.
The lower season ticket prices also currently encourage those who may only intend on attending 10 - 15 matches to buy in advance, if you were to increase the initial outlay they may decide to buy on the day instead and if the season is over by Christmas then it becomes unlikely they will bother and will spend the money elsewhere.
Less bodies in the ground mean less programmes, beer and burger income as well and I'm guessing that the majority of season ticket holders spend more on these things then they do their ticket. Less bodies also mean less incentive for sponsors.
Personally I would see attracting crowds to The Silverlake as a much bigger priority than growing the away following, as the former should naturally grow the latter over a period of time. I'm sure those who can afford to pay higher prices could do so now by purchasing more then one season ticket and having a spare rather then looking to increase the prices for all.

I'm not sure the club or TSSC have done anything, you are basing your argument on a statement from someone who used to make the decisions at Eastleigh FC. He is/was well known for making sweeping statements, that sometimes had to be taken with a pinch of salt and here is a prime example, how could you take his word to provide cheap travel when he no longer has anything to do with Eastleigh FC and you are very well aware of that fact. Fair play to ask about the discount TSSC have advertised as part of their membership, not fair to use the ex-chairman's words as a stick to beat the club/TSSC with or to demand cheap travel.

This is so much like a carry on movie, SOE is definitely playing the role Kenneth Williams made famous...............'Infamy, Infamy they've all got it in for me'

Who said you are not getting cheap coach travel SOE? Think you are looking for a row are you not? Why? Like I said at the time it's nothing to do with SD anymore, so taking his words and holding them against the new owners is wrong. It's a different world now one where money will not just appear when a very wealthy man opens his wallet. Better get used to it.

That's the trouble with SD making sweeping statements, people were always going to hold him at his word. Bottom line is SD had no place making such statements, as it is not his club to run anymore and those that are running it need to be allowed some time, 2 months ago none of them were responsible for the decisions they are now making so give them a bloody chance. Surely the best way forward for all fans is to give them time and if they want to get involved, go to the club and offer to help, go to the fans forum or join TSSC.

Yup Yup is a generic term of agreement issued often by a non-listening party, typically used while performing an additional important task, such as watching tv.
If you are the yupper, by yupping someone, you are not bound in any sense by your agreement, since you didn't hear what it was you were agreeing to. If you are later asked to perform the task, you then have the option to admit that you had yupped the person and ignore the task, or pretend that you had really listened & just go along with the yuppee.
If you are the yuppee, and you recognize that you are being yupped, you can call the yupper's actions & state "you're yupping me" or "I'm being yupped", whereupon the yupper may admit the yupping action and feel mild embarrassment, but there will be no permanent damage.
yupping, being yupped, yupper, yuppee are all derived from the root 'yup' Woman: Oh I got some great shoes at the mall, do you like them dear? Man (watching tv): yup Woman: so we're going to go back later, are you coming with us? Man (watching tv): : yup *2 hours later* Woman: ok, let's go Man: where? Woman: to the mall? you said you'd come with me later? Man - option 1: oh, I was just yupping you, I'm staying here Man - option 2: yea that's right, let me grab my coat

I think SD might have learnt that sacking a manager after 4 games is not a good plan, unfortunately the fall out from his education is going to be with us for a while yet.

If you are a well run, professional, full time outfit you 'should' over the course of a season finish higher than a well run part-time team, but we all know there are too many variants over 9 months to make anything a certainty. We will need an injury free season if we are going to finish in a positive place next year, if the current squad follow the injury pattern of the past two seasons then we are done. Surely we are due a run of avoiding injuries!
