twitter.com/EastleighFCSolihull Moors at home on Aug 4 Then away trips to Sutton and Barnet, so won't be too expensive whether it's discounted or not. Hope we get some cup runs this year, and some home draws, otherwise two home games a month in the months of Oct/Nov/Dec/Jan/Feb/Apr isn't a lot. Havant &W as expected at Christmas/New Year.

Beat Solihull and it'll be a case of who needs SD, lose and we'll all be going to hell in a handcart via, the Wessex and Hampshire leagues. Such is the fickle nature of football fans.

I don't think either will happen on the first game. I just hope the football is entertaining and the team stabilises mid table next season. Iam confident they will. However, my fear is if we really struggle whether the hierarchy at the club have the experience or nerve to deal with it. They certainly won't have the money to.

First game of the season AH will be telling his team in the dressing room to go out and win this league...and why not. We start level, and if Leicester City could do the impossible then why can't Eastleigh? AH is a very good Manager and I think with RH out of the way, he'll be able to express his team in the way he really wants to. I think we'll surprise many people this season, and I'll predict a top 5 place.
And if you lot think I've lost my marbles, so be it, but its my opinion and I'll stick with it. Spitfires on the runway preparing for take off......

I agree. The fly in the ointment is the size of the squad, rather than any lack of talent. The issue will be how will we manage when the injuries start to pile up.
It is clear from AH's comments to the press that the playing budget is tight - where SOE and I may differ is I'd be happier if we dropped the drive to have the cheapest season tickets in the league and set the prices at the league average.

Part of me agrees with that taylov. But after several years of cheap season tickets, to suddenly double them would be a dangerous tactic and we could end up losing quite a few fans. Like a lot of things, its a fine balancing act.
We play every team twice so I can never get too excited about the fixtures, other than the first game which is obviously a focal point for the weeks leading up to it.
The onus will be on us to win on the opening day, fingers crossed!
We've won 3 and drawn 1 of our opening day fixtures in our 4 seasons in the conference.

I would actually agree with Tony too!! But cheap coach travel has to remain, it is vital for the away support the team needs.

I'd like to see everything start to come into line, that mean the club is sustainable. Essentially we need to spend our income and not a penny more. I don't expect this to be a very popular opinion, but it is one I believe in passionately.

I agree up to a point, but I don't think we need to do it all at once.
For example, a lot of contracts are up next year (hopefully). We can then continue the process of recruiting young hungry players who will cost the club less and maybe generate some money in future transfer fees.
I think for spectators, any sudden or substantial rise will lead to a definite drop in the customer base. Not sure how many people actually attend because of the low ST prices, and wouldn't if they went up a lot.
Goodwill on the pitch has been lost in the last two seasons (although facilities have gone from strength to strength) so pricing has to be considered very carefully.

In my ideal world, we would do it over a 3 year period.
