www.tssc-eastleighfc.com/News/48/TSSC-2018-2019TSSC 2018-2019 This season we are running away travel in conjunction with Eastleigh FC, watch this space for details of fixtures, departure times and prices. They will be up soon! We are also pleased to announce that there will be discounted coach travel for all TSSC members, another good reason to join The Spitfire Supporters Club. This season we will also have a regular prescence at the ground on matchdays in the form of a marque towards the shed end of the ground. Come and have a chat with us at tomorrows game.

So the terms of the continuation of coach travel for three years is already broken. TSSC now saying membership will give you a discount, if you don't join, then pay full price...whatever happened to the cheap travel for ALL as proposed by SD in his deal with the new owners to hand over the club to them? This leads me to think that the three year season ticket deal will also disappear at the end of the coming season. I don't see why TSSC should take back the coach travel, the club ran it very well and the responsibility should lie with the club for coach away travel, not TSSC. The fact they are already saying you'll get a discount on travel prices if you join TSSC tells you all you need to know.
There is no way the club are going to be saying, cheap travel for all, and the TSSC offering a discount on top of the cheap travel is there!!!!!

As always I've joined. Everyone doing their best to support EFC should be encouraged. One thing and only one thing will result in criticising people who are active in organising things for the club, they will stop doing it and we will all suffer.
I offer my sincere thanks to all supporters who are helping to build the club. Ignore the critics and do take on board that the vast majority of us appreciate what you do.

I didn't rejoin after the way Sattsy was treated. I can't see how anything has changed. Even when I was in it, I certainly didn't feel included.

Some people just love a moan. No intention to say/do anything positive. Maybe the club wanted some help with the traveL? things can't be easy now stewart has left. Best of luck to those at the club and the voulntary supporters too

You are correct Rocky and as supporters we should all help where we can.

Its people like ballboy and rocky fill me with hope for our great club. SD leaving was a huge thing, but there are many excellent people still at this club who are rolling their sleeves up and getting stuck into the job at hand. If we all follow suit, next year could be a great year. I'm confident, I really am, don't under estimate Mark Jewell, he is a great bloke with a massive heart for EFC. If we are not successful it sure as hell won't be through lack of effort.

Nobody as far as I can see in these posts is having a go at people who go the extra mile in helping the club in their own time for free. The issue here on this thread is TSSC taking over the travel and offering a discount to members of TSSC on coach travel. SD gave up ownership of EFC due to him having no choice once he had control of Sunderland. He pledged some years ago now that if he were to leave suddenly he would do the right things for EFC, and part of this was to ensure he left enough funds to see out players contracts that he signed off because he felt that was the right thing to do. Further to this, we learned on his taking up Sunderland he wanted to ensure the new owners would maintain, cheap season tickets and coach travel for three years.
Why then is TSSC offering discounts on travel? It's a nasty below the belt dirty piece of business which the club should have said NO to, it's blackmail to try and attract members with a stunt like this. So what's it going to be? Salford away travel £25 but if you join TSSC it will be £20. Cheap coach travel should be for ALL supporters regardless of whether or not they are members of TSSC.

Lets suppose I was working hard, for free, to help run TSSC. Lets further suppose that, quite reasonably in my view, I wanted to encourage people to join TSSC; and then lets suppose I saw a post like the one above. How do you think it would make me feel? encouraged, to perhaps consider I had made a mistake? I'll tell you how it would make me feel. Frustrated, angry and fed up. It would probably make me consider whether I wanted to continue to help TSSC at all. It might even make me wonder whether I wanted to carry on supporting the club, at the very least it would hurt me. Its basic human psychology, not rocket science. If you feel TSSC have got it wrong, go get involved in it, offer to help and in a friendly encouraging way, explain why you think they have it wrong on away travel. If you can't or wont do this. Do the club a big favour and be quiet.

I think you make a good point SOE. However I am more concerned about the standards of behaviour that might now arise on the coach. I have been to all away games for the last 2 seasons. The first season was mayhem on the coaches with shocking behaviour by both a small nucleus of fans and drivers. I'm not talking about the younger fans but mature ones who have no respect for others on the coach. This last season was different. Fans behaviour generally good (some drivers not so good) as this nucleus of mature fans did not travel. I have a real worry that now TSSC are running the coaches that these people will return making the journeys by coach really uncomfortable for fans like me who just want to get there and back as quickly as possible having a nod in peace! I think there's a good chance that these people will become self appointed 'stewards' bringing with them there own noise, disregard for others safety and ruining what should be a pleasant day out.

The coach rules are even worse these days too. There was a time if for some reason you had to cancel your trip and did so prior to 48 hours before departure you got a full refund of your money.
Now if you cancel within 7 days of a trip you will get nothing back, and if you cancel before the 7 day deadline you'll still only get 50% back in a refund. That's really caring and looking after your loyal supporters who try and make away trips to support the team isn't it.
