Another defensive nightmare. We have the 2nd worst defensive record in the NL and it matters little who the manager is if we cannot defend or manage / see out a game when we are in front. Without Maccas goals we would be down the bottom with Oxford City. Talking of Macca does anyone know why he was not in the 16 today? Back injury according to KD's post match interview.

But yet again we had a left wing-back who is really a midfield player (Reeves), with Greenwood on the bench. I see we've signed Jake Vokins on loan from Saints. The item on the club website says he's a left-back. Did he play in that position at Woking? Yes

It is a trial but I think we trail.

Nine games to go for the current management to find a playing style they like in their first job, any Vision from above anymore? No direction football wise, seemingly no interview process for the new management, whats their scope they have to achieve to stay on long term, who's buying the players and making the deals over the summer, we might get away with it this season but without Macca and no vision things will easily go South. Any outside investment interested in helping the club? Needs something My understanding from conversations with others is Kelvin was interviewed when Bradbury left but did not want to work under RH so presumably we were interested at that point and have some idea of playing style vision. But agree we need to decide before the end of this season as to whether he stays for next season.

Well I have to say that was one of the poorest refereeing performances I have seen for a long time. Hope we never see Sam Mulhall ever again.

In a game spoilt by the sending off, we mostly did better than I expected. Don't blame Hill for making changes - I would have made them 5-10 mins earlier. What I do object to is taking the wrong players off. MaGuire is so far out of form he should not be starting (also can't remember a good corner or free kick from him this year), Quigley was poor and as for Taylor he seemed to spend half the game passing the ball to colleagues in tight/dangerous situations. Thought Greenwood did OK, jury out on the CB (thought he was,at fault for first goal) and Reeve did well - surprised me how he picked up pace of game as he does not appeared to have played for a good while. We are a mid-table side on danger of slipping into a relegation scrap. And Chesterfield had an easy day but didn't impress me. Still not as good as Gateshead earlier in the season. And look who we play Tuesday...

Have to say Croll showed his limitations today.

He wanted to move on from us, not us put him up for grabs. A player should 100% be allowed to make better money elsewhere if that was the case. However I wouldn't expect to get my place back having been disloyal with an eye elsewhere if a move hadn't come off. This is a great club, we look after players, he was first on the team sheet with Bradbury and we did so well last season didn't we, everyone was really happy with Bradbury from memory. Like I've said previous my last game away to Oldham he was outstanding, but that doesn't mean I need to show loyalty to him if he doesn't want to show loyalty to us, the percentages of success and true career progression after leaving Eastleigh don't look great from recent departures as listed in my previous comment. Almost the players that left to play at a higher level are still playing - and playing well subject to injury. Offers came in for them and they chose to leave. My understanding is Oacar was blocked from leaving and then we have punished him by not playing him.

Has everyone forgotten the part where Rutherford wanted to leave this club or have I gone mad? **** him anyone else that doesn't want to play for us, it's worked well for Harper, Tomlinson, Hill , Carter and many others before 👍 All players, especially young ones would want to go to a higher level club. Very few players are going to refuse the challenge the money and the glory. He is contracted to us and wants to play. What's your problem?

Oscar showed more in 9 minutes than some of the rest of the team all season. Why Hill doesn't give him more game time is beyond me.

I am surprised we put out such a strong team, I think that was probably the main reason for the odds, there was an assumption that we would rest a few players. It was a tricky one today, hard not to have an eye on Tuesday. Given that we keep leaving out our best player from last season and not trusting the youngsters (when is Yang going to get some game time, why have we not got Simpson back so we have a striker on the bench, where is Challwell) I did find today a really odd selection with an odd formation that Hill at least changed - although it did not make much difference - as he could see it was not working.

Why is it we hardly ever get a mention on South Today in the sports section ?, maybe the club needs to get in touch and raise Eastleigh fc profile. Both bbc and itv regional programmes cover a large area. They rarely cover non league, there are many non-league clubs in their catchment. Oxford City, Aldershot Doring and Woking in our league alone and many others in lower leagues. Local radio is currently more local so we get more coverage, although not as much as we used to because of the cuts involved through deliberate underfunding through govt policy on the licence fee.
