Well I have to say that was one of the poorest refereeing performances I have seen for a long time. Hope we never see Sam Mulhall ever again.

The two yellows for Nigel seemed pretty harsh, they seemed no worse than what had gone on before. Oldham were spending a lot of time on the ground, the ref seemed quite sympathetic to them. But I've seen worse in this league!
Talking of poor... we were pretty poor tonight, totally flat in comparison to Saturday. Buildup was slow, passing wasn't great, and what we were doing trying those laboured buildup from the back, I'll never know. We don't have the players for that, as Richard Hill found out to his cost. And Kelvin Davis probably found out tonight.
Boldewijn scored a great goal to give us hope near the end, but to be honest, if we'd got a point out of that, we'd have had Scotland Yard down investigating.
I'm sure Oldham will make the playoffs and do well there. The manager has won the playoff final before with Tranmere. However they failed to kill us off when they could have done tonight.
We're now just six points above the bottom four - Kidderminster and Woking both won last night.
And the scoreboard didn't work either!

Premier League refs aren't that good. Those not good enough for the premier are in the Championship, those not good enough for the Championship are in League 1 etc, so o one should be surprised at the poor quality in our league.

I've been told on good authority that the referee got off the Oldham team coach when it arrived at the ground. He booked none of their players, booked some of ours and sent one off. Surely this should be investigated and if true this game has to be replayed for the integrity of the league.

There was one tackle on Jake Taylor near the end of the game where even the Oldham forum members were saying their player got away with one.
As I say, though, I've seen worse at the Silverlake.

For info - It looks like he's from Northwich which is just 50 mins from Oldham & is en route to Eastleigh... The teamsheet that has been posted shows that he booked 2 of Oldham's players. I dont like blaming Refs, they have a tough job and no one ever says the ref is crap when we win. The minute we lose, its the ref's fault. We lost a game of football 1-2 to a team in the play off's and we did it with 10 men, no disgrace in that, just suck it up and try to win the next game.

Sam Mulhall also refereed our 4-4 draw at Boreham Wood earlier in the season and last season was in charge for our 1-0 win at Dagenham and Redbridge and our 3- home victory against Altrincham.

I'm watching my Portland Timbers game. The MLS refs are on strike so they are using scab labour to officiate games. I swear, these guys make National League refs looks like Pierluigi Collina!

The ref for the Solihull game wasn't bad, IMO. The Solihull manager didn't seem to think so, though.

Actually a lot of people who sat near were not particularly impressed with the referee, but I think hantslondoner and nkc are often objective in their comments about referees.
