Thanks for the summary - a question re concessions - at one end of the 'concession scale', they were for people aged 60 and above last season, and also for people aged 60 and above at the time of 'early bird' season ticket renewal (I checked twice with the club, and was told this) - I take it that the club will be honouring this for people aged 60-65 who have already bought concessionary season tickets?
Reading were also told it was also for over 60s for their friendly: And does the new concession ages from 65 start with the Gillingham game next week, or with the Solihull game on Aug 4th? Hi The question of concessions does not affect season tickets, it is to do with travel and all away was priced accordingly which was under 18’s and 65+. Travel for away games are now on sale. Come along and have an away day with the Spitfires.

Summary of Fans Forum Mark Jewell Kenny Amor A Hessenthaler Question Any more players coming in? A.H The squad is what it is, if need be it may be possible to add loan players if required. Question Are we going to win the league? A.H We should certainly do a lot better than last year and looking for a top 7 place, if this doesn’t happen AH would be very dissaponted. M.JWe should be around 8th,9th,10th place consistently – we are still looking to get into the E.F.L. We will be very competitive and very keen (Mark not here all the time – he is still convalescing) K.A Stated they had an open and honest chat with the players on how they felt after last season, the fans have always in the past had interaction with the players – this squad are keen to do that and K.A complemented Hess for what he does. After the home games and the players have had their food they will be involved with the fans. Most of the new young players are very keen Question Will we be taking the F.A trophy serious this year? A.HFrom a business point of view it is a way of playing at Wembley – the management would like the team to do well in ALL competitions K.AAway Travel Stewart Donald made a statement to keep travel prices the same. Last year it cost the club in the region of £25,000. This year we have moved away from Wheelers and will be using Lucketts Travel. This year TSSC will be helping towards keeping costs down with travel with various events – one of these being Car Parking which hopefully will subsidise travel costs – someone mentioned about the concession age and was confirmed this was 65 M.JTalked about leaving money at a football to join another club. MJ,KA,TC,JS are the new owners and any external funding has to be sanctioned by the FA. Stewart Donald with the Commercial Contracts that are in place should help to cover the players wages etc for the next year. There is no link whatsoever with S.D , nothing underhand – so do not panic! K.AOur budget is well in with the rest of the league and Kenny, Tom and Mark know the club inside out and will be focused the right way. M.JDiscussions about who owns the club and the land of which EFC have a very long lease on the land – 40 years. There are no plans for further work at present. K.AExplained the ex board are very supportive. All commercial parking revenue goes to the club. M.JConcerns over season ticket prices, but this will be looked at on a regular basis and may have different options next year but have stated they will obviously keep it sensible. Aprox sales at present between 850 and 900, there has been a big upturn this last week or so. M.JWith the housing development that’s going on the club have met with the contractors and shortly a cutting will be made through to the Concorde club and there will be a new footpath running all along Stoneham Lane past the Football club. A welcome pack will be included from the FC to all new home owners. Possible disruptions may take place with the road up to Christmas is quite possible. QuestionRegarding a reserve side and youth football? Historically it could well have been a financial factor and which league to play in. A.H very keen in bringing our youth payers on and integrating them with our first team, things as far as he is concerned do have to change. There are 4 playing with our 1st team now so things are looking good from that side of things. The majority of our under 15 academy have joined the scholarship programme and we now have a wall of fame for our youngsters. In futures this may be extended to our girls teams. Whatever, we have to make it attractive for these youngsters. We would have struggled to keep Mark Childs because he needs to be playing so he has gone to Gosport withMaccaz but we will be keeping an eye on him for the future. M.JPleased with the playing surface and it has held up very well over the Winter and Spring and Dan is doing a great job, and now doing additional work with Southampton FC, making a lot of new contacts within the trade and Chemical companies – good contacts for the future A.HWe have 14 players under previous contract which is not ideal. All now with one year remaining which is what it should be, this makes players more hungry for their place. K.AOur new ticketing system will be more cost effective and will give accurate numbers for attendances. Season tickets may be available next week. A.HCreswell on the mend, not 100% but he is staying behind to get his fitness back up and return to the first team. Constable working hard to return Question Do you know what the starting line up will be? A.HShould know after next weekend prior to the Solihull Moors game K.AStewarding will be reduced to around 20 from 40 that we had last year. GeneralWith regard to the web site other sections will be added, things have been kept quiet pre-season. Mike Jewell unlike Stewart likes to ensure everything is to his liking before signing anything off. Both media lads have now left but will possibly use media from Local colleges and U.C.F.B based at Wembley. Benefits to be had by joining the National League Trust Andy wants to mix the game up – watch for more crosses coming in this year! Reda Johnson has come back this season with a better attitude and is enjoying his football much more. The on line club shop will be up and running very shortly, includes purchase of season tickets etc Media have a bigger area now in the blue stand. M.JFinally Mark thanked and applauded the fans tonight, pleased about no negativity and took this opportunity to thank TSSC for all their hard work they have done this year and asked everyone to support them and lets all pull together. Meeting ended 20:50

Can people just turn up with cash on the day and purchase at the club shop? Am not really fully conversant with QR codes! Yes, this can be done also, so do not worry.

I cannot believe some of the comments I am reading....but there are those who support the club in lots of ways - unpaid and work to help the club go forward and there are those who will take everything and for nowt these are not real fans and only go for what they can get out of it. TSSC are doing their bit to help and support the club in every way possible.

"Am I right in thinking Denis Compton is the only man to play for England at both Cricket and Football?" No, a quick look on Wikipedia reveals no less than 12 double internationals. Compton is NOT included as his 12 England caps were in unofficial "wartime internationals" Johnny Arnold Andy Ducat C.B. Fry (the only one that I knew without looking it up, because he lived locally in West End and in Hamble. He played first team games for both Saints and Pompey. He is unique among the 12 by also once equaling the World Record in the long jump). Tip Foster Leslie Gay Billy Gunn Wally Hardinge Alfred Lyttelton Harry Makepeace Arthur Milton Jack Sharp Willie Watson Ian Botham also played for Scunthorpe I believe
