I would strongly urge everyone to get along to this, especially if you have things you are not happy with. Lets get this out into the open, agree a way forward and then all get behind the club.

About 80 or so were there tonight.
Andy Hessenthaler spoke for a while about the squad and that we were aiming for a top 7 position. There are unlikely to be more new signings. Average age of squad had come down which was one of AHs aims.
new Eticketing system was touched open. Fans have the option of tickets on their phones or paper tickets.
New Ecommerce shop is hoped to be online shortly.
Away travel prices have been kept fairly low, club was mindful of last seasons travel which resulted in a loss of £25,000.
What have I missed?

AH preference is the play out from the back and they have been practising crosses! He is also keen to develop the progression from youth football and sounds more prepared to give a youngster a go if necessary, unlike RH.
More prosaic was the information about the changes to Stonham lane and new footpaths. Could be some disruption this season but ultimately will make things better. Working with developers to get into and free tickets into the welcome packs for purchasers of the new houses. General message we are in a good position but need to live within our means. May well see greater changes in playing staff at end of next season when lots of contracts are up.
A good forum with good questions and well considered answers. COYS!

1 Re Season tickets I heard Kenny say that the other choice was a season ticket card with a bar code or similar.
2 Interesting discussions on the value (and costs) of running a Reserve side. Hess seems to be a fan of the idea.
3 2018/19 - a transition season in terms of the large number of players in the final year of their contracts.

I was impressed by the honesty of the Management Team and the attitude of the supporters there. I liked that questions were answered off the cuff and that the appropriate person answered them. My feeling was that generally the supporters there were behind the management team and were not at the meeting to be disruptive or critical. All that bodes well I think. I think this year is about supporting the team through the ups and downs to ensure we stay in this league knowing that next season the manager will not be tied to existing players. It was good to hear that every existing player will have to show their commitment and ability this season to stand a chance of their contract being renewed next season. Deep down it feels like the Club is returning back to its roots involving everyone involved working towards a common purpose-that can only be good news. Onwards and hopefully upwards

TSSC were mentioned by the new owners and it was requested that we all get behind them. They said they appreciated the role they played and were very thankful for all the work they put in. It was a very unified meeting and hopefully we can now all look forward and see what the new season brings.

One interesting issue that has been raised on this forum in the past that has not been mentioned so far was the ownership of the ground.
I think I understood Mark to say that EFC does NOT own the ground but has a long lease - currently 40 years - on the site which is owned by a separate company established by the Directors of the Football Club when it was purchased by the original Ten Acres Holdings.
Did I hear that correctly?

Yes that is my understanding of what was said. I was impressed how frank the speakers were.

In addition, we should mention the fact that we do not have a large “pot of money” in the bank which we were assuming would put us in a very strong financial position. Stewart is not allowed to have any involvement whatsoever and the FA are ensuring this. However the contractual agreements will cover the players wages this season.
I really felt a positive vibe last night and a feeling that we’re all in it together to take our club back to how it was a number of years ago. Kenny acknowledged that the atmosphere, feelings and general attitudes lately have been lacking - possibly due to the lack of stability we’ve had.
Andy sounded very enthusiastic about the squad. Good to hear some scholars have been given numbers and that our new signings are young and keen to work their socks off. No disrespect to RH, but I really do think that Andy can now go about his managerial duties more freely and with the full support of our board, Strevs and Rossco.
Here’s to a positive new season!

Beat Solihull and we are going to storm the league, lose and we are heading straight to the Hampshire league. Ultimately in football, results dictate pretty much everything.

I wonder if that info is now out of date. In view of what we heard last night as to how strictly the FA acted with regards to SD leaving any cash to deal with commitments made during his tenure as owner (even down to problems with the Bridal adverts on the stands), I would doubt if his continued involvement with the owners of the ground would be permitted.

I am happy to be corrected, but I believe this info is current and correct. I wasn't implying that it was wrong but if the FA are getting worried about perimeter banners which advertise one or more of SD's companies, I can't imagine that for one moment they would be happy about the current ownership of the ground.
Pity the FA haven't been as vigilant with some of the other clubs in the FL and NL in recent seasons.
