was there any news of what happened? would have gone but had to work Annual General Meeting Thankyou to all that attended Our AGM last week. Thanks was given to this last seasons Comittee, Ben Powell will be assisting TSSC next season with the programme entries but unfortunately wasn’t standing this year with moving house. Thanks to Ian Stephens and Lee Stevens for their contribution also. Keep an eye out shortly for some good positive news of which TSSC will be doing! The mini bus idea from last year was a non starter but we strongly believe with support from all other groups associated with Eastleigh Football Club, such as the Ladies Football Team, Pan Disability, Walking Football and all other associated groups we can help them but we need help from you all. With Stewart looking at Sunderland Football Club we need you now, more than ever to support the club any way we can, so please join TSSC and let us make sure this year we are a voice to be heard! Keep an eye on the site we will have more news for you soon, in the meantime membership is available on line or download your form now. Thank you all Arthur Woolley

We can't keep calling it the new building!! Time to give it a name. As he financed it how about The Stewart Donald End? Then you would all know where the meeting was to take place, otherwise you would say The Hangar if not. Put it this way we all know it as Sherwood’s! We don’t know at this stage if it will be in Brooks or Sherwood’s, does that clarify things?

Any concerns regarding this subject I would say let them attend the TSSC AGM on the 3rd May and let’s have it out in the open. There was a problem sometime ago with Callum Smith who was moved from the back row, I spoke with Richard Montigue about this and the ruling is the back row must be kept clear in case a steward or medical person has to gain access. Why is this "rule" only applied to the Home fans? If they need access in the home side, I would agree it should be exactly the same in the away. Why not send any of your questions to efcspitfires@gmail.com under the heading “Questions for the club” and we will be able to look into it more thoroughly. Thanks

Think the problem is there is no one to speak for the kids, they're not coming so until someone tells the club why, then nothing can or will get done about it. No question they clearly have issues with the stewards - but are the stewards conducting themselves in accordance with club wishes? Why are they being restricted in where they can go in the ground? Are they banned from the South Stand because of the fear a flare might go off? Are they fed up being body search/bag search at every home game, tarnishing all of them with the same brush? I think I am right in saying that at the start of the season SD was to take charge of "The Young Supporters Club" or something on a similar line where he would meet with them regularly and discuss ways of moving forward as regards educating them on why there are ground rules and so forth, but more important if they had SD speaking for them he would build up trust for them and they'd likely respond to that. That they've disappeared from EFC should be a concern, they are the long term future of the club after all us olden's kick the bucket in due course. I think another good voice for them would be Tracy (TSSC) so maybe first TSSC could find some of these youngsters and invite them to come in for a chat with her and SD if it could be arranged somewhere down the line. Problems can't be resolved unless their views are put across and then something hopefully can be sorted out. The South Stand is going to be the new Eastleigh End and we need to generate the atmosphere in there, the kids would do that. SD has said many many times that the players appreciate the atmosphere and support given, it helps lift their game and probably explains why home form has been poor this season. Away support is more vocal, are the kids travelling to away games then? If this is so, then clearly they must feel picked on by the home stewards and they've had enough of it.

I meet regularly with the club and in my most recent catch up Kenny, Tom and I spoke about how we can get info out to the fans in the absence of fans forums etc and perhaps answer some of the questions and complaints that pop up on Social Media. Hopefully also clear up some of the confusion about why the club has done certain things. We also spoke about how in the future we can use these catch ups to continue answering fan questions. Below is a list of the info that came up in conversation. What’s Happening with the website, being down and why do we not put everything on the website? Firstly, apologies for the Club Website for being down, this was due to work being carried out for the New Online Club shop which is planned to be ready for the start of the 2018/2019 season. In future we will ensure that any planned down time is known beforehand. I know a lot of fans have expressed their views regarding important news and announcements perhaps only going on Twitter. Anything important will be announced on the Main Eastleigh FC site as well Social Media. Fans have criticised the Club for always being slow to announce details such as the Ebbsfleet game. The club couldn’t announce anything until the league gave the go ahead. Ebbsfleet just jumped the gun and released it before it had all been cleared. Regarding release of players or signings again we only release when the league has agreed the paperwork etc. When the other club involved announces or Solent its that again they have gone early. We work hard on agreeing with all parties a release time so we all do it at the same time. What is happening about supporters travel next season? We are very mindful of the issues we have encountered this season and we will be reviewing all aspects of away travel next season, we will look at costs, pick up points, facilities offered (disabled access and toilets) We will talk to our existing provider as well as looking at other options. What else is going on? We have one year remaining on our deal with Macron our 3rd kit will stay for a second year, but we will be introducing a new Home and Away kit for the new season. We will launch this alongside new training and casual wear some time end of June Early July instore and online. For the near future the club’s Eastleigh in the community scheme is to become a registered charity, if we gain league status we would have to take this step anyway so it make sense to be prepared. It helps us generate better funding to support our community schemes such as Pan disability and walking football, our aim will be to bring football to all and to raise the clubs profile locally and potentially employ further people in our community programme. You may have heard the club has recruited Basingstoke’s head of youth Jason Bristow to work alongside Luke Hardy in our youth section, this is to grow our youth set up and create pathways. Our Scholarship education programme has around 40 scholars at present and it is hoped to increase the figure to around 100. Jason will also support growing our Academy numbers, boys, girls and ladies. We are also currently in talks to bring the Eastleigh Juniors into the club set up, they currently play in the local Tyro leagues and play under our badge. We hope by bringing them closer to the club we can identify young talented footballers as well as hopefully supporting their coaches and making them feel part of the Eastleigh family. With the recent debate about who scored the goal against Wrexham Stack or Cresswell? People have been asking why we didn’t post the highlights after the game? To answer the question, it is because there is a league agreement that highlights cannot be published until after the BT Sport highlights show has aired. The Club have had a very successful launch to the new Sherwood’s building events and hospitality have been going very well, they are looking to push the restaurant to make it as successful as the carvery with that in mind they are asking for volunteers to distribute flyers and posters advertising Sherwood’s. I would appreciate anyone who can take any to get in contact with me direct. As you can see TSSC and the Football Club are working more closely together and one of the main aims is to try and answer any queries, any questions, any thoughts and pass information to you, from what you have read above I think you will see there is an awful lot happening. If you have any questions for the Club please raise them on TSSC forum or send an email to efcspitfires@gmail.com under the heading Questions for the club. It is intended regular meetings will take place with Kenny Amor and Arthur Woolley.

I know we train behind the mackoy stand in the summer months but where are we training at the moment/winter? I know we used Fleming Park astro a few times even used there gym until it went in the supporters club bar few years ago but that's a kitchen now? Do we still have a gym at the ground still? I think you will find that apart from Fleming Park they also train at the Wellington sports field across the road from the Football club. The ground now behind the Mackoy is nothing to do with the Football club. Regarding the gym, the answer is yes. A well equipped gym under the new stand extension with a Physio room, Managers room, board room.

I have been in contact with Mary Finlayson's father for some time since she moved up North to be with her family. I expect that a lot of people knew that she had been unwell for some time now. Yesterday I received the following email from her father.... Sadly, Mary died quietly earlier today at the Ashgate Hospice, Chesterfield. Her last home game was against Aldershot so it was great for her to know the recent result before she left us. Best wishes to All, Mary's Dad She was a huge Eastleigh fan, and had been for many years, travelling to a large number of away games, often under her own steam. She managed local youth teams and was often to be found quizzing managers and players at the Silverlake, in her thirst for knowledge of her favourite game. I'd only picked up a card and shirt signed by all the players on Friday to send to her. Hopefully we could respect her passing in some way at today's game. I'll keep you informed of any further news. RIP Mary Lydia Finlayson, born 13th January 1973, taken far too young on the 6th April 2018. Very sorry to hear this and on behalf of all TSSC members our thoughts are with Mary’s family.

Would he be someone to worry about? He hasn't exactly set the world alight. Don’t think he’ll set the world on fire, only played 6 games for Bromley this year. Don’t worry we have a good squad working well under Andy......

Don’t suppose he will ever get a game for Lincoln City, see they have just signed another defender from Blackburn Rovers.....Scott Wharton. Any reason why we can’t have him back.....Please. I’m sure Cal would be an excellent signing as we all know. He wants to be playing not sat around, come on RH do your stuff!!
