You are on a real winner here Willk. Making the play offs is not very likely, so isn't it lovely to have a good old moan about anyone who is managing the club. I expect you are hoping for plenty more defeats, so that you can say "I told you so." With only one automatic promotion place, and a play off for the other promoted club, I can confirm that you are on a winner. The only question is whether you will be at the end with the EFC supporters, or at the Torquay end? I reckon you could cause an argument in an empty room, but nevertheless wish you a Happy and Peaceful Christmas

So because AH was a coach under RH he should also be sacked? That makes no sense at all, he could well be a roaring success in partnership with someone else. Why do we have to make wholesale changes just because we change managers. We tried this last year and it didn't work. Lets give AH a chance and a scrappy 1-0 at Dagenham would do just fine for starters.

I wouldn’t bother Willk, half the people on here would accept dross football and us relegated and would still think nothing could be wrong. Personally I’m glad RH is out of the dugout and I hope that AH manages to turn things for the better.

Because its all about him, I agree nobody would be able to work with RH if he was manager and a DOF was in place. On the flip side of that, who actually (other than AH, Strevens or McAllister) would want to work with him as DOF? I don't think anybody... I really hope AH does well and turns things round, but the biggest question is how much influence will RH have. It's so difficult at the moment because we tried every possible avenue last year - went for the rookie, went for experience, then a know how and back to somebody SD trusts. I'd love to see Luke Garrard of Boreham Wood with a decent budget, I can only see his management career going upwards. he would not have liked anyone else telling what to do if a DoF was above him, so why would he expect to have that influence and power himself?

I'll tell you what Blackie, isn't it good to see Andover doing so well at the moment.
Many football teams style of play is described as being "dross," However some of those teams come out of it by being promoted. Okay not this year, but you have to have faith. I am sure if Wiilk speaks to Mr Donald to discuss these matters "face to face" it would at least put his mind to rest I suspect not! Coming on this forum critising the club in complete anonymity, is so so negative. So Wiilk why don't you send a personal e-mail to Mr Donald outlining your concerns. By the way please address him in the first instance as Mr Donald. After he has responded to you you can say "Dear Stewart" in any following correspondence. In any event show some respect by not pretending you know him by saying "Dear Stew" as you do not yet to my knowledge know him.

Football can certainly be very unpredictable at times. When Richard Hill left the club the first time having obtained one point from his last five games, his Assistant Chris Todd took over and obtained 19 points from his first 8 despite lacking managerial experience.
Martin Allen arrived at the club with a good track record at this level of football, but he left us having obtained one point from his last five games with only one goal scored in these games. Richard returned to the club and regarded keeping the club up as more of a success than achieving one promotion and two playoffs with this club.
As things stand we are definitely significantly lower in the table than most people expected us to be and there may be many factors which determine how we perform under the new manager. His previous record as a non-league manager though is very good (two promotions and a play-off position with Dover) and he takes on the role having I expect a better idea of the task in front of him than Ronnie Moore and Martin Allen did.
It is interesting to note that although at times this season we do not look like scoring we have actually scored more league goals than the teams first and third in the table.

My guess it was because it was the plan all along....to let AH get to know the set up ect ect and become Manager just before Christmas. No doubt in my mind that RH would have wanted to move upstairs with the team in a better position for AH but it wasn't to be. Many of us are becoming aware of the problems behind the scenes that RH had to cope with and he did his best...we should all remember that. AH is probably going to have the same problems until a clear out can be performed, but I just think we'll see a better style of football with what he has available, get some points on the board, and who knows where we might end up come the end of April.

I was at ebbsfleet and although the result didn’t go our way I saw a good effort and as things planned out I believe that was the first turn out of a team under AH , probably I am wrong but if that is the case we may well see a better game from now on ?

Everybody (apart from a couple of numpties) just wants to see a better style of play and the team to put a bit of fun back into what has become a very depressing and turgid season. People go to sports events to be entertained, see action and have things to discuss, not to be sat bored rigid watching a football being hoofed up the field or out of play continuously.

You may have mentioned that once or twice before Willk. Please change the record. Just enjoy your Christmas and maybe you’ll have something to cheer about on Boxing Day.

Absolutely. Here’s hoping for a better second half to the season.
