We do have some reasonable players who can perform. If motivation was missing maybe this will now be achieved. Change was needed and change has happened. We all know that some players play better under a change of Manager. As Supporters to continue being negative is non-productive. Opportunity missed-- what was that then? I dont see Managers lining up to manage us.Lets not expect much from AH. the best we can achieve is staying in the League. So he has less than half a season to achieve that.

No, remember it’s the fans, then the officials, then the pitch, then the day of the week, then the hot dog mans, then the cleaners fault

RH is very good at finding good players, regardless of results, that's the fact. Aston Villa wouldn't have appointed a non-league manager in a scouting role if he wasn't good at it. So Director of Football role will be good for him. For those who really can't stand the man, you should be happy because you won't hear much of him and he won't be touching the team on match day or substitutes so keep calm people. AH has motivated players at times during the season and a lot have complimented his hard work and is well respected. He's done well in the league as a manager in the past. This move was predicted by a few back in the summer and has the potential to work very well. Give these guys a chance, results haven't been great this season but my word these guys are both very committed to the club even if we haven't won much. Their commitment is unquestionable, give AH a chance in this role, please.

You certainly can’t blame any fans for disappointment. If stoke let Hughes go and appointed his asst do you think they’d be jumping with excitement ?

Not sure who the assistant manager is at Stoke Will but if he is assistant at a Premier League club then you can bet he knows his job.
Loads of examples where assistants have stepped up when there has been a change.
With your attitude we will go through Managers every 10 games. We are a National League club and to get someone with AHs experience is good news.
Whoever we appointed you would point to their previous failures and one thing is certain in football is that clubs change their Manager so they have all been or are likely to be sacked at some stage.
Pleased for you that you have a new target for your total negativity and if we were to lose or not win in an entertaining way on Saturday at least we'll know that you will have a lovely Christmas.

I am not disappointed. I think its a good shout. Pleased that RH is still with the club, and think AH will do a decent job. It also means we won't have a complete change of people at the club, with all the hassle and costs that normally result. I hope and expect results will pick up and am in no way writing off our chances on Saturday and D+G.
Good luck to the new team.

If AH hadnt already been here then he surely would have been a candidate for the job anyway taking into account previous clubs managed by him. It is surely disrespectful to suggest he isn't up to the job. That is the implication from the negative comments on here isn't it? Or is it just a pop at RH? I think the latter. So start a new thread-- RH leave full stop-- because until he does some of u are so blinkered to him that you will just continue to be on his case-without any of you having the faintest idea actually what his role as DOF is. AH has managed clubs far bigger than EFC---give him a chance. And still none of you doubters can suggest a replacement--unless u count the optimists who said Nigel Adkins---oh nearly forgot hes gone to Hull a championship side!!!!!

When AH brings on McAllister at 65 mins on Saturday we’ll be safe in the knowledge that nothing’s changed and he’s just a yes man. Good luck though, can’t be any worse.

When Hill came back my view was it was a mistake and would end badly. I have been consistent in that view from the start. It has ended badly and the team is in terrible trouble. He has been an abject failure. If that raw honesty is too much for the pc brigade on here that’s too bad. AH will bring more of the same as he is implicit with the failure and results, but I’ll let the green behind the ears rose tinters live in La la land for a few more weeks until we’re in the bottom four.

Typical Will why stick to the facts when you can call people who don't agree with you names

The facts? Do you want me to find the stat about how many games we won under hill? Goals scored? Total points? Think it will make good reading?

Your definition of raw honesty is 'Hurling unnecessary abuse at others who don't agree with your self opinionated view'. I'm not green behind the ears or wear 'rose tinted glasses'. Asking for a new Manager to be given a chance is not unrealistic. You make broad sweeping statements without any evidence of fact. You are always of the view that your view is the ONLY one that is correct. You may prove to be right. However you seem short of ideas how to rectify matters. If you gave constructive criticism i would take your posts more seriously
