Mental isn't it. Yeah I can't get my nut around doing up the ground when we can't even fill it to half capacity, but I don't dedicate every bleedin' post of mine about it. Honestly, the huge majority of football supporters I avoid like the plague, nothing wrong with them but their agenda just doesn't float my boat. I couldn't mix with men who genuinely want to have a fight over the managers tactics, what the next kit should look like, what type of pies they got for half time, the price of the programme etc etc. It's utter madness. They get pies at half time, no wonder they look tired during the second half after having eaten!!!! Blimey Bomber, you've just hit the nail on the head about out 2nd half performances.......Genius!! ;-)

It’s not that the knives are out, it needs a bit more intelligence than that. There has been no change of any substance , it’s the same endemic failure so whilst we all wish good luck to the ‘new’ manager it is highly highly unlikely much will change style or results wise.

It also amazes me with the chav football fan when we refer to managers like we personally know them. ‘Hilly’ ‘hessy’ -regular drinking buddies are we? I suspect never actually got close to them at all.

I think people should distinguish between moaning and complaining. With a business you complain about a bad product or service, knowing that if they listen they can actually 100% sort this (and stop it from happening again). You complain knowing you can get a positive result. This cannot happen with football. Sure we all would love to win every game, score 4 goals, concede none and win the league by Christmas, but there is no guaranteed formula for this, in fact there is no formula that gets close to this. Football ownership and management has millions of variables and all you can do is position yourself where hopefully, fingers crossed, and with a bit of luck, results go your way. If the decisions made by the club and manager do not get acceptable results, we all have a right to moan, but not complain. As somebody else pointed out, we buy our season tickets to enjoy (or not!) the adventure of the season. You buy a pint of milk, get it home and find its out of date, you go back, complain and get a new one. You find yourself in a relegation battle at Christmas, you don't go down the club and complain for your money back or insist they fire X or hire Y. You can moan on forums though

Why is it that 'chav' football fans do this?
You could argue that it's all very 'public school' to keep referring to people by their surnames.
I think using first names or nicknames shows that some fans feel a connection with the club (or even loyalty). Whether that feeling is reciprocated can be a matter for discussion.

I agree with crazyhorse, there is a difference between moaning and complaining.
Same as there is a difference between debate and moaning and between disagreeing and being abusive. When it's written on a forum it can be interpreted in a different way from when it's said face to face.

No connection at all, if people don't know Hill or Hessenthaler (which the vast majority don't) Anyway, I'm off down the pub with Bojo and Corbs for a beer.

That's what keeps a lot of people going. Anyway, I'm off down the pub with Bojo and Corbs for a beer. :-) :-) :-)

But he 'Will' keep moaning and 'Will' chuck personal abuse at people, he also 'Will' not let it go even though they have changed Manager and has even stated that the Club is diseased so he 'Will' exaggerate Merry Christmas
