I generally think that if anyone has any constructive suggestions to make then the question and answer sessions that the chairman and the manager occasionally provide (the most recent during the summer) provide an opportunity to do so.
When I saw Richard on Saturday I did speak to him briefly, but it was only about the fifth time since we have been in the National League that I have spoken to him. I know of several fans that have spoken to him on a more regular basis.

As it is, its irrelevant whether people know him or don't. The facts (5 wins all season) speak for themselves, a bad manager, doing a very bad job and so its right he's no longer in the dugout. Don't think he and 'Hessy' work well together, I've never seem them once even communicate with each other on the touchline so to me the relationship is very odd anyway.

I can see this appointment a positive step in the right direction already. I can only presume that AH had to take his hands out of his pockets to sign his contract !.

I am not a Richard Hill fan, and I don't think he should have appointed himself in the summer.
AH appointment was on the cards and probably in the pipeline when he was appointed as assistant manager at the start of the season.
Does RH feel he's sorted 'last years' problems out and can pass on to AH or has he gone 'upstairs' to secure his job if this season ends in disappointment?
I think the majority of the players like AH, which of course is massive.
Let's give him some time to turn things round, and see how the team shapes up. Not 1 or 2 games but let's see if things have improved with 10 games to go.
The big question is how much involvement will RH have with tactics and on field stuff - hopefully none.

I can’t see Hill being at Eastleigh much longer. It’s just not worked out at all and the playing style has been dreadful to watch.

RH will NOT have any influence in the Managers tactics, team selection...or on field stuff. If AH fails he must fail on his own, not because he foolishly obeyed the orders from above of RH. No that will never work, and we all know it. If AH is not in control of the team he might well not bother doing the job, nor anyone else for that matter if that was the case. No, RH will leave well alone, he is not stupid, even though there is that doubt about it...he would not have liked anyone else telling what to do if a DoF was above him, so why would he expect to have that influence and power himself?
This is all poppy cock, and willk is doing a first class job in putting doubt in the minds of fans before AH has even begun, it is disgraceful...and should he be successful who do you think will be at the front leading the praise....yes Willk, who else.

Seriously Will your posts get dafter! 'You have never seen them once even communicate', not sure where you stand but I do know that they are in the same dugout for 90 minutes every 2 weeks for home games, I would assume that you attend the games to watch the football and not the dug out so would guess that you would only look at the dug out for a maximum of 5 minutes each game and to be honest I suspect I am being generous in that guess, therefore how much would you expect to see them communicate? Unless you are stood very close to them how would you know if they are communicating or not? You are making a relationship judgement on something you see from a distance of 50 yards or more for a max of 5 minutes every 2 weeks, I'd suggest that you do not have a clue what you are talking about, but I think we've all probably got that idea by now!!

‘We’ve all got that idea’ ah the mighty ‘we’
Suffice to say my predictions on how this season would turn out have been a little more accurate than yours.

...and should he be successful who do you think will be at the front leading the praise....yes Willk, who else. Somehow, I think not. Since he started on this forum there have only been a few posts that have been positive towards the club. Yes, if/when AH is successful, (and what is the measure & timescale of that?) willk will acknowledge it, but say little else until he has reason to be negative about something else at EFC.

I’d love him to be successful and get a buzz back around the club, excitement, smile on people’s faces, ambition, something to play for and most importantly entertaining football. Very best of luck to the man.

I'll settle on a result at Dagenham this weekend. Momentum is vital in football and if we can get 2 or 3 results the club will feel a whole lot better. Doubt very much that RH will have much input into what goes on on the pitch. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if he takes a step back and sees no games before the new year. AH will be his own man. A very experienced manager, if he is employed to the job, then he'll do it. I suspect and hope come April he will have made a decent fist of it.

As ever, totally the opposite for me, I’d settle on a much improved performance and a bit of creativity actually. Something which in the long run is going to reap more reward than a stagnant 1-0 win against the run of play.

The 2-2 draw at the Silverlake earlier in the season was pretty entertaining - something like that would be nice.

Well willk ur wish has come true because that was exactly what they did on Saturday--and we lost. So I still came home unhappy at result and would av settled for a drab draw then a convincing win in the replay. Can't have it all ways all the time

WHAT A JOKE. So we have give the job to a guy that has been involved in the poor leadership of this club. He was the coach, he failed with RH. We needed a new manager completly if RH wasn’t going upstairs full time.
