The big issue for me is the goalkeeper situation and whether Max can stay beyond the New Year. As far as I’m aware the past 2 loan spells for him have been ‘emergency loans’ which are only allowed to be a maximum of 1 month. So from January we may well see him sign on until the end of the season as it would be under normal loan conditions. I might be slightly wrong but that’s pretty close. Fingers crossed that’ll happen, he’s a fantastic keeper and has certainly played a part in our recent form!

I personally think his interview yesterday wasn’t his ‘last’ as manager. Don’t think he’d have said some of the things he did if he knew he wasn’t getting the job. Will be genuinely surprised if it’s not him tomorrow! An excited for the announcement though.

I think your spot on there about the numbers this year. I believe the season tickets counted last year regardless of if people went or not. Therefore this year the figures are actually very promising I think. A good second half of the season could see us rolling towards the 2,500 mark for a couple of games hopefully.
Would also like to see more of an atmosphere down at the ground. Invite the nippers back who used to stand at the back of the mackoy, just make sure they don’t bring the pyro’s!!

Pretty sure it’s gonna be Strevens. Will be a bit surprised if someone else gets it

With Dover, Chesterfield and then a big one Vs Havant coming up that average attendance could shoot up big time. I imagine the Havant game could get over 2,500? A real shame Pompey are home the same day, but hopefully the game will attract a lot of saints fans to come down too. Should the club do a New Years special offer on tickets and try to get a real big crowd?
Maybe £30 for 2 adults & 2 kids for tickets in the Mackoy stand? Or FREE entry for children with a paying adult, etc etc? Got to be worth looking at??

1-1 1800 - I'd guess Salford will bring at least a couple of hundred less than Orient. Don't suppose we'll spot any of the owners today.... Adam Rooney will be the most famous footballer there, I expect (and the highest-paid) From what I’ve been led to believe, I think Reda is the highest paid player in the league. Intact potentially compared to League 2 and most of League One too!! This season he’s been worth it though

1-0 at HT. a tough 45 mins to go. Apparently Strevs has another coach on the bench with him tonight. Does this mean he has the job now and this coach is his new full time right hand man? Bit odd to have someone on the bench with him extra if he’s not got the job right?

What a shame!! Could have been a good one for TV.
Maybe next year. Onwards and upwards, stay positive!!

I’m sure it brought in a great amount of money for the club. Certainly, with the facility we have, i’d like to see us doing more of these in the future. Very happy to hear it was a success

IF we get through then Pompey at home would be the one. Would be chosen for TV for sure so the extra money coming into the club would be awesome! Could really help finance a promotion push going into January.
More than likely we’d get someone like Carlisle away and a nice million mile round trip.
Got to get though this tie first though!!

Names like Todd, Dodd, etc aren’t the kind of names we want banded around, unless the board have no ambition at all!! We need a manager who’s been there, done it, and is currently doing it somewhere else.
There might not be SD’s money in the club any more but I think the club is an attractive challenge to someone wanting something new or a fresh start. Decent crowds for this level, the ability to be promoted is certainly possible after our current run, and when you see the ground it shows there is certainly something to play for here.
I hope our new board, who haven’t employed a manager before, get this right and don’t use sentimental value to employ our next manager

Gutted to see this!! He’s a quality manager, be a real shame to lose him. I thought if he’d leave he’d go to a football league club. Closer to his home and also an ex player-manager for Dover so has some roots there. I’d be super gutted if the board at Eastleigh didn’t do everything they possibly can to keep him. Players are clearing putting in a shift for Hess, such a waste if he left

Always been dodgy. Best thing we could do with that is scrap it. Is the old scoreboard lying around somewhere?? Old one was broke too!!

In the end it didn’t matter, we won the game, Macca got a rest, we go again Saturday. Long drive but confident of 3points. Come on you blues!!
