Helps with the big wage bill this season I guess. Any extra money without SD’s wallet around is very welcome!!

I think this is a big result. Come the end of the season Hartlepool will be right up there where we want to be. Hopefully once everyone is back from injury and up to speed match fit we can kick on and get a run going like when Hess took over from RH. Starting this week hopefully!!
Come on you spitfires

I personally think he is the best man for the job by far!! The players like him, the fans like him, he plays good football etc and has a lot of contacts in the game that will help us.
if it wasn’t for all the injuries I don’t think anyone would be thinking about his position. The injuries are not his fault, it’s also not his fault that Cresswell and Reda are being paid more than league one players, hence the struggle to move them on, or so I’ve been told.
Personally i I feel this year is all about just stay in the league and do ok, then when all these big contracts which were signed by SD have expired we can assess the club structure, see how much we can afford, and go again. Players like Josh Hare, who I’m told is one of the lowest paid, are the type of players we will be looking at. Hungry for success and not just a nice pay day!
if I’m right at the end of the season contracts expiring are as follows:
Ross Flitney Graeme Stack Reda Johnson Ryan Cresswell Andrew Boyce Danny Hollands Mark Yeates Oscar Gobern Chris Zebroski Ben Williamson Paul McCallum
i think from memory that’s all of them? Who have I missed? from that list there is a lot of wages, and all but 1 are SD signings so I imagine there is money tied up in there that’s now affecting the ability to get other players in.
From the above list list who would you keep, and think about wages on this one! E.g yes Reda is very very good, but could we get 2-3 young fit and hungry players in for the wages he is reportedly on?
Personally im feeling roll on next season even though there is a lot of this one left to go. Damage limitation this year, stay in the league etc.
And yes, Hess is absolutely the man to take us forward and I have every confidence in him, the way the players are committed this season is awesome to see and that’s all come from him!

Really easy to use. Sends you an email ticket and if you have an iPhone it’ll drop it into your wallet on there so is quick to open at the turnstile. I’ll defo be using it again in the future. Saves a lot of money on printing tickets over the course of the season too I bet

Oh dear!! Plus Réda has played every game so far so is probably in need of a rest. Possible Boyce back for Monday and rested as a precaution today. Good to see Jones out there, sounded like he had a decent game.
McCallum and Constable then on Monday? Likely to see a couple new players come in this week now I think!

Played 90 mins fo Bromley today. All the best to him. Fingers crossed we might get a couple in this week if that’s freed up some wages?

Great match I thought. We never looked like conceding!! So solid at the back. The back 4 of Hare Wynter Johnson and green we’re just awesome. So solid. Réda looks like a new man!! So quick and didn’t put a foot wrong all game. Gobern very neat player, very confident on the ball and Miley for me was just excellent yet again.
If we play like that all year we’ll be well up there come the end of the season. I’m so confident after watching that. Can’t wait to get back down and watch the boys again!!

Just seen Sam Muggleton, the guy with the epic long throw in, has just signed for Chesterfield...who’s manager is Martin Allen! We can all be assured that we know exactly how they’ll be playing this season then!!

SOE, we did give a young keeper a chance a couple of seasons ago, can’t remember his name but the guy from Arsenal. That didn’t end too well!!

I’m sure I read, and heard SD saying he was leaving the club with a fair bit of money in the pot which covered all current contracts, therefore giving us virtually a ‘free’ squad this year in wages!!
I’m guessing he didn’t see this through then?
Or how I like to look at it, it did happen but the club are being cautious and seeing where we can make cuts, make more money etc. Just seeing how the year pans out etc and take it each day as it comes. Only time will tell

Bloody hell. Has this forum become the moany forum!! It’s a bloody friendly, if you don’t want to see it in June don’t go and don’t read about it. Some Eastleigh fans really push my buttons!! Just relax dear, it’s only a game of football!! 😂

Togwell has gone to slough Being a MA signing I imagine he was on fairly big wages. A good decision to let him move on I think.

Will give 110% for his uncle I’m sure. Young player with ambition, it’s what many were crying out for last season. Let’s gope he hits the ground running
