Apparently the current building is ‘phase 1’. For the phase 2 part of the build we’ll see a ‘1946 bar’ upstairs, I assume overlooking the pitch like the other end, hence the extensive work being done on the foundations. That’ll look amazing once done. Very excited to see that being started!

Hi all,
I’m someone who’s always been really interested in stadium development and wondering if anyone has any photos of the stand being built currently? The club haven’t released any photos yet and I saw it was said at the fans forum that it would be complete by July?
Does anyone have any photos, or pics of plans for the stand? Would like to see what it’s going to look like!

The back line tonight was: LB: Seaman CBS: Atkinson & Hollands RB: Boyce
This was before their first goal when we then shifted to 3 CBS and wing backs.
Personally I thought why doesn’t Holland’s play LB, Boyce and Atkinson in the middle with Seaman in his preferred position. Or play Miley at LB and Hollands in the middle.
We really lacked a bite in the centre of the pitch today. That’s where they won most of the battles and the game last night. Also, must say, Barnett up top did absolutely nothing all game! Not once did he look like he wanted to win a second ball or play hard for the club. He was woeful.
The very small size of our squad is now starting to show too with injuries and suspensions. Missing tonight was Wynter, Reda, Partington, Greener (on bench), McKnight. With the next run of games coming up and then Christmas fixture pile up we are going to be struggling a bit I think!

cannot believe we havent even tried to replace macclum, mid table for us i think Is it not obvious!!? The money simply isn’t there in the club anymore. We won’t see McCallums or yeates’ down here anymore unless we can get another 1,000 on the gate or a money man comes and buys the club. Simply need more money coming in before we can see big names pkayers like McCallum. Instead now I predict we’ll see decent players and young players coming to the club. This year will be ok though. We have a cracking defence and possibly the best keeper in the league. Just the other end of the pitch needs some work. I said before the notts game that there would be a lot of 1-0’s this season!

I couldn't make out that red card either but a couple of people I spoke to, who each had a better view than I did though from different positions, did have similar if slightly different explanations. One thought the Magpies' player had kicked out at Scott Rendell's leg and the other thought he saw him stamp on him. It happened right in front of me. I originally thought the ref, as he’d made some weird calls, was going to send Rendell off as he did lunge a little into the challenge. But during the challenge the Notts player ended up on top and across Rendall and curled his leg up to try to kick him in the face but caught his shoulder. I think his challenge was a bit nasty too. The kick was quite Beckham Vs Argentina esq. ref made the right call. The reaction of Partington, Miley and Payne was clear, they knew the player had done wrong. Put it this way...every word they said was very clear, especially Parts 😂

Trialists were Goddard & N’Jie (A & B, not sure which way around), and trialist C was Chris Clements, preciously of Grimsby, Mansfield, FGR, and Cheltenham.

Yep, it's as well we don't have the restriction of a transfer window at National League level. Also we hopefully have the contacts to be able to access the loan market, which we might need to. Absolutely. Loan signings will need to be used I think. Generally once the transfer window closes we see league clubs looking to the national leagues for players they want to send out for experience etc. Have to wait for those ones unfortunately and hopenothers don’t get there first.

Strevs said in his interview last night that there would be 1 more player in. Maybe 2 but more than likely just the 1.
So will it be another striker? (Or is Sam Smart filling that role this year) Will it be a full-back who can fill in for Greener/Parts? Or a winger/attacking mid as we only really have 1 at the moment.
I still think that only 1 more in leaves the squad really tight to do a whole season with. Time will tell but if the season is to be successful it might be down to how lucky we are with injuries!

For sure we need 2 more strikers I think. Biggest problem is that strikers cost a lot of money. I’d expect 1 to come in. Maybe a loan signing from a club in the football league could also lend us a player or two. I’d expect a full-back / wing-back to come in too as cover for Greener and Partington.
I’d still expect 3-4 players to come in. But the priority at the moment has to be a striker. Can’t rely of Rendall and williamson to replace McCallum’s goals last season

Be very interesting to see whether the new housing has a any inpact on the attendance next season. Definitely the potential to increase the fan base by quite a few. Not sure how many people are in yet in the houses, so maybe the tail end of this season would be more like it. Would be a decent shout, once the housing is complete, for the club to take leaflets round for reduced match tickets for local residents, like a “We love our neighbours” type thing. In fact that could be something the club do every year, like a one use voucher to get more locals along. I’m sure before too long some of them would get the bug of the club like we all have and look at season tickets etc.
