I'm not sure that thinking we won't make the play offs this season is negative or lacking in anything, it's just looking at the facts, there are 18 games left, we have won 7 out of 28 so far and although we have had a good little run lately, we would have to win at least 12 from the last 18, even the biggest optimist cannot really believe that will happen, can they? Even if we were to achieve the above we would also have to hope that at least 5 of the current top 11 did not manage to average 1.5 points per game between now and the end of the season and we were able to turnaround a goal difference of around -15. Unfortunately it's a bit late for miracles this season but that doesn't mean we cannot have a really positive end, hopefully finish with circa 60 points and a comfortable top half position. ooooh - I love some good stat analysis :-) certainly puts it all in context

The first 5 mins we looked great, played the ball quickly, 2 shots on target - thought we were in for a goalfest...... then Solihull score easily on their first attack and everyone's heads dropped. Generally they were just quicker around the pitch, we were slower - they ran on to receive the ball, we waited for it to come to us and it got intercepted - they chased people down and chased back, we backed off rather than closing down...... and there were still plenty of goal scoring opportunities for both teams that weren't taken !

I’m sure the highlight of your weekend will be decided soon Not the highlight of my weekend(which was a sex swop evening) but came a close second. Were you there and what did you think or did you leave early and miss our winning goal. 'came a close second' literally made me laugh out loud.... :-)

strength and pace in spades in key areas And that's the key. I know I go on about this like a broken record, but WE LACK PACE in most key areas of the pitch. Until this is addressed we will be no better than a mid table side. In the National league to do well you have to have strength and pace. We have strength, but no pace. true - no point in Greener racing down the left wing and crossing the ball over if no one in the middle can keep up, get in the box and on the end of it !

I would have given Wilson a new contract, far more deserving to stay rather than some others IMO. Especially when he turned down an offer from a league club in January to continue the journey with us!! never know - maybe that was part of the deal - that he'd see his time out with us but then be released to join the league club in the summer.....

Weren't the players we brought in throughout this season allegedly top dollar, expensive and good?!? Summer here always seems to be interesting, looking at who is out of contract etc

I've heard from a reliable source that after the Wrexham game they will be digging up the whole pitch to a greater depth and lay turf which will take appx 8 weeks so it can bed in for the pre season Would that be a lorry delivery driver at B&Q ? ;-)

....and just throwing another one in - I wonder if the couple of big named players that had 'committed to EFC for 17/18' under MA are still committed or still wanted for next season ?
