“ Kelvin Davis, who has not had a football role since leaving Southampton over 4 years ago“
He left Southampton in May 2022 less than 2 years ago.

Have Moneyfields had 3 points deducted?
They look favourites now, they face Stoneham later this month which for Stoneham is one they really must win to have a chance.

Ladies finished the league season today with a 1-0 defeat. We finish the season almost certain to come 7th out of 9. Pretty disappointing season for whatever reason(s). After winning the first 2 we tailed off pretty badly.

Its quite possible the season will finish and we say thanks but no thanks to Kelvin Davis and its also quite possible he will say thanks but no thanks to us (presumably if he gets a better offer, a coaching job rather than managerial I would think).
But agree with the above that we need to make a call on this by the end of April (Season finishes on April 20).
Too many times under SD we have changed manager early season when its sort of been apparent that we should have done it in the summer (Todd and Bradbury spring to mind). Clearly the jury is out on KD at the moment, and he may be manager for next season, hopefully we have a plan if it is not him to appoint someone else to give the whole summer to.
Recruitment of new players will be key (as always) so hopefully we have a structure ready for that with scouts etc and hopefully one or two people that really know the market from a financial perspective.

I don’t think we need that many points to avoid relegation. I reckon 50 will do it. Am sure 2 wins would be enough (no one has ever gone down with more than 51). But would be nice to get them ASAP.
Playoffs is probably about 500/1, just no chance of that.
Be nice to finish the season well and get a top half finish to set us up for the summer and next season.

Classic game of 2 halves today. Really on it first half and Solihull the better team by far second half.
Probably a bit relived to get a point in the end. After Solihull's equaliser they looked like they could well go on and win
Paul McCallum looks to have the golden boot sewn up!

playoffs for Brett Pittman & Shaftsbury. He has 46 league goals so far, so is on target to beat Andy Forbes record of 55.

I see Stoneham won 5-2 in front of a crowd of 125. Looks like quite a 2 horse race at the top of the wessex league: fulltime.thefa.com/index.html?league=274386100 points (from 38 games) might not win it! Hope Stoneham do it, especially if they go up could be a good link up to have for our younger players/players coming back from injury?
