Yes, I watch the league regularly (including AFC Stoneham, but some people on here seem to frown upon that ;-))
The champions probably go up and the next four are in the playoffs. The playoff winner may go up too, not sure about that? Tere might even be further playoffs to decide that.
It does seem that there is a breakaway top four again, and they are clearly better then the rest from what I've seen . Shaftesbury are up there as they have splashed the cash this season, bought Pitman (yes, he scored seven in one match recently) and a few other 'names'. This is what AFC Portchester did last year and were pipped at the post. IMO Shaftesbury work like a team of individuals and cam moan at each other (as is Pitman's wont) if things are not going well. I suspect the same fate awaits them. They are top, but Stoneham and Moneyfields have games in hand and can overtake them. Stoneham are a strong team, like last season, and they now have Owen Fee, who adds a bit of guile. Moneys are a good team and at the start of the season I said they would be up there. They still haven't moved into their new ground (and will be playing at Portchester for the rest of the season) and I'm impressed by how well they've done despite not having a home. AFC Portchester have rebuilt a bit post-Pitman and are still strong, although I'd say they will probasbly finish fourth. In the running for the final playoff place include Brockenhurst, Cowes Sports and Portland United. Cowes look decent, not seen Portland yet. Brock rather fell apart at Stoneham when I saw them.
I see a few other Spitfires at Wessex games so maybe they'd like to add some comments too!

2 teams do go up. The champions and the play off winners. All teams in the hunt are eligible to go up but some may need further work done on their ground to stay up.
Wessex is non league Step 5, promotion would obviously be to Step 4. In the pyramid their are 8 leagues at Step 4 (each with 20 teams in) and 16 leagues at Step 5.
So 2 teams from each of the 16 Step 5 teams (32 teams) will be promoted and 2 teams from each of the 8 Step 4 teams will be relegated (16 teams). Each Step 4 league will then run with 22 teams instead of 20 next year.
At the end of the 24/25 season each of the 8 Step 4 leagues will relegate 4 clubs to accommodate the same number of promotions from Step 5.
Simple eehh, the complicated bit gets in deciding geographically which teams end up in which league. No different than in National League when 4 go down each year an not normally 2 from the South and 2 from the North. Imagine sorting that out for 8 leagues receiving promotions and 16 leagues receiving relegation, all of course over much smaller allocated areas.

Have Moneyfields had 3 points deducted?
They look favourites now, they face Stoneham later this month which for Stoneham is one they really must win to have a chance.

Yes, they have - failing to fulfil a fixture, apparently (not sure which one, but i think it was the one they called off when AFC Portchester terminated their agreement and just before they signed an agreement with Chi).
I think they're favourites (as I said at the start of the season) and can probably afford to lose at Stoneham. but plenty of room for error yet.
