... if you fancy a double football fix:
AFC Stoneham are at home to Sherborne Town, just down the road at 1500.
Stoneham are still top of the Wessex League!

Not for me. Bus to Eastleigh, meet some mates. Get the train to London, few beers. Then jump about for an hour watching Less Than Jake at Hammersmith Odeon. Probably fall asleep during Bowling For Soup.

I see Stoneham won 5-2 in front of a crowd of 125. Looks like quite a 2 horse race at the top of the wessex league: fulltime.thefa.com/index.html?league=274386100 points (from 38 games) might not win it! Hope Stoneham do it, especially if they go up could be a good link up to have for our younger players/players coming back from injury?

Yes, decent enough game, an error-strewn beginning saw the score 3-1 after 25 minutes. The Purps looked fairly comfortable with their powerful style generally too much for the opposition, the game rather meandered at 5-1 with 20 minutes to go.
Moneyfields winning 3-1 at Shaftesbury means they are now the main threat to Stoneham at the top with three games in hand and four points behind (Stoneham have a better GD). More disappointment for Brett Pitman...... ;-)
Interesting walk between the Silverlake and Stoneham as several of our young fans ran full pelt past me hotly pursued by some irate Bromley youths. Some security guards seemed to do a great job in keeping the peace. Why didn't they go to St.Mary's and try and annoy the Millwall instead?

playoffs for Brett Pittman & Shaftsbury. He has 46 league goals so far, so is on target to beat Andy Forbes record of 55.
