I think it will be a quite intimidating ground when all done. About as intimidating as birthday cake.

Not sure if this can be answered here, but I heard a rumour that those with season tickets in the main blue stand will have to move to the new seated stand that is going to be built, so that those in hospitality can then be seated in the current main stand for the game. Can anyone shed any light on this? I just spoke to the club as soon as I read this. I am told that if you have already renewed your main stand season ticket then that seat is yours for the 2017/18 season and you will not be moved for that season. Also there is still a bit of time till the deadline for existing season ticket holders to renew to keep their 2016/17 seat for next season. So it seems crazyhorse that the rumour you have heard is a misleading one. Where did it come from? Has the deadline to renew your seat in the blue stand been extended then? I was told it was to close on April 30th when 'early bird' prices ended? The club has got itself in a right old muddle over this, but obviously they were caught by surprise at how well the hospitality packages have done, even SD admits the new building should have been bigger given the uptake of the packages. I took the 'Sherwood' package in March, and it stated quite clearly it includes a seat in the main stand. I was told then that existing seat holders in the main stand had first refusal to have their seats next season if booking before May 1st and I immediately thought, "They are going to run into problems about this". It looks as if there will be quite a few 'hospitality holders' who will have to take up seats in the green stand and face a trek for their half time refreshments those packages paid for. The uptake of the packages is great news for the club and adds to the match day experience and is a virtual sell out for next season I'm told. What is happening is proof that if you build a nice ground then people will come along, the fan base will grow bigger and on the business side of things SD has made a complete success of it, if the football side goes well next season expect the gates to grow towards 3,000....and perish the thought the club could outgrow the stadium in a few years?? Exciting times ahead don't you think?

Very interesting spiritofeastleigh! As far as I am aware, virtually the entire main stand is sold out to season ticket holders, and so to give hospitality package holders a main stand seat, as well as clearly stating that the early bird deadline will not be extended, the aim has been to use unsold main stand seats for hospitality package holders. I have renewed, for this season, but I bet there are some who have not, who may well be disappointed to find out they have lost their seats. More importantly, I wonder if the following season (2018/19) and beyond, if current season ticket holders will be guaranteed their current seats?

Keith, I believe the 30th April deadline you mentioned was for "early bird" season ticket prices and that there has been no official deadline for renewing season tickets for your regular seat at the full price. I think that might be about to change though and that they might set a deadline soon for keeping your seat.

John, in using the term 'no official deadline' you are correct, but a club official did tell me the blue stand seat holders had only until 1st May to renew their seats. I actually put the question to that person "Does the left hand know what the right hand is doing here?" They were offering the three hospitality packages with a seat in the main stand, but also letting the current seat holders renew those seats if done before 1st May....double booking them basically. And also people buying the first two packages were going to get cushioned seats for added comfort in that stand.
I suppose what should have happened is at the end of last season 2015-16 when the club knew the new building was going to go up, they announced then that blue stand seats would not be guaranteed until after hospitality packages had taken priority for the season 2017-18 which was the only way to do it.
No doubt the club will sort it out to everyone's satisfaction, but with three packages of £795, £540 and £270 it is crazy they are not getting their seat in the main stand because people are paying £25 I believe to renew their seat ahead of those packages. Having said that, whichever way the club decided to go it was going to affect one group or the other.

So does that mean that some of the seats in the blue stand will be padded, and some not? Will the seat of the person I sit next to be padded, and mine not? ;-) As (I hope) you can tell, I'm not taking this very seriously, but the confusion bears out my point earlier about how the club need to make sure that the 'non-corporate' and the 'corporate' is integrated together. Otherwise we'll get another split between two groups, and ensuing forum arguments ;-)
BTW, I did hear a rumour at the last home game about the lower central seats in the blue stand being padded next season (the ones normally used for visitors/guests).

I think in summary if you would like to sit in the blue stand next season ring up the club ASAP to get your place booked!

Er...Rendel you missed the point there mate. I took a package in March, but I was not allowed to book a seat in the blue stand because the current seat holders have until whenever the deadline is to renew and most have now taken up that option. So package holders have been unable to book a seat in that stand at the moment. Is this what we call seat blocking!!!! :-)
Its not the be all and end all as far as I am concerned, I'm just saying the whole process looks like muddled joined up writing :-)

Superb news also that we have also broken 1,000 in season ticket sales.
Just imagine if we'd had a really good season...

Don't really get that opinion Rendel, whether we had a good season or not we are Eastleigh fans and are showing our affection and loyalty to our club, we stand together, we fall together....we sing when we win, we sing when we lose.....I'm confident most will renew and a new record ST sales will be delivered before the new season begins.

If we had had a better season, we would have had higher gates and sold more season tickets - No??
