oh Dear where do we start.
1. Crowd - Where were the Eastleigh fans, please don't say we have joined the premier league fans in saying the only thing that counts is the league. I am a season ticket holder and yes I did pay £12, but the cup is something I look forward to, we were embarrassed by the Hereford fans, they showed how to follow a team. The acid test will be the free game against Solihull and the crowd, as due to the lack of one this helped end MA reign. 2. The performance or again lack of one, boy we are bad, again only shot on goal, that again was a set piece. One positive was Mcallum who looked good, but why did he not come on instead of Beano? Again what does this man bring to us anymore, such a shame to see a great servant look so awful. 3. Tactics and formation, I spoke to several regulars who go both home & away and none of us knew what they were and haven't all season. I firmly believe that we must have the worst shots on target of any team, as above we only score from set pieces, can't remember the last time we scored from a flowing move, it's painful to watch and only the banter in the crowd keeps me going, but I still will keep going. 4. Players - Yes they try hard, but most are too old, too slow and injury prone and near the end of their careers. You can't keep playing favourites who were good 2/3 years ago. 5. Management - I like RH as a person/speaker and ambassador for the club, but he's out of his depth now and if he can't see what us supporters can, either he's a good actor or just burying his head in the sand. I fear for our survival with this team and the current management, I see how ex players seem to thrive away from us. After what happened last year, SD won't sack Hill, but I'm afraid he needs to, and no I don't have a replacement in mind (names mentioned today, Atkins, Worthington, Dover manager).

Shambles.
Picking Strevens and Togwell together in the middle of the park sums it up. Where is the ambition there!?!
Togwell looked so unfit it was ridiculous. He wasn't the only one either.
We didn't compete until it became too late. Outclassed at home by a side two league's below.
But hold on a minute, it was actually all the referees fault.....

I thought we (Hereford FC) played the better football, we were more technical, Eastleigh were very physical which is what we expected. A few of your players were intent on causing injury, following through on tackles, we should have had more free kicks awarded but the ref was terrible. Eastleigh players looked slow on the ball and failed to dominate possession which is a surprise for a home team.Very route 1, we have played better teams in our league, 2 steps below.
Your number 2 made an awful challenge, he had every intention of following through on Preen, he did so leading in with his elbow, straight to the side of Preens head, the force planted him into the turf and he swallowed a mouth full of grass. He then proceeded to laugh and smirk at our fans. There was no racist abuse, he did have a drink thrown over him which was stupid and inexcusable, but your stewards or the police didn't even go over to investigate??
Your support was very poor, we outnumbered you, even in the conference when we were struggling we still had 1200 - 1500 die hard home supporters every week. I was proud to support our great club, the fans were superb and I dont think you will experience a better atmosphere at your ground for a long time.
The 20 or so "fans" who spent the majority of the game goading our supporters were an embarrassment to your club, do they go every week? They were not interested in watching the game.
Your manager was a disgrace, refusing interviews with our press, telling his assistant not to speak to the press either and punching the dug out! I suspect it wont be long until he gets sacked.
Hope your team does improve, because relegation is hard to recover from. I understand you have a rich owner and you have made a few quid from FA cup runs so unlike a lot of non league teams you dont have the financial worries. We however had our club taken over by some low life cockney criminals who wanted to develop the ground and refused to pay our VAT bill, hence Hereford United went out of business.
The fans resurrected the club, we are not made of money, we do have some of the best supporters in the country which will help us get back to the football league! We are on our way back now and the fans deserve success, onward and upwards!

Anyone know if the steward attacked in the Mackoy stand yesterday is OK. The happened seconds after HFC scored the first goal. He was in the thin yellow line when a Hereford "fan" walked forward and punched him twice in the face knocking him to the ground.
There was no question about what happened as I had a clear view of the incident. No mention of that above.

If a steward was punched surely the police would have arrested the culprit?

Are you suggesting that I am lying?
One individual was removed by the police shortly after.

Agreed, the only supporter I saw ejected was for letting off the smoke bomb. Which he deserved to be. No punches thrown where I was and it wouldn't have been a wise move looking at the size of your security/stewards, they were huge! anyway, I am sure you have far better things to talk about, like the way your team played, the lack of "HOME" supporters, the poor discipline of your players, the poor quality, the amount of money those ex prem/championship "cart horses" are on, or the way your manager acted?

Some fair comment in that paragraph. Can't really disagree with much of what you say about our side. And we're supposed to have full-time professionals compared with HFC being, presumably, part-time. So full-time club gets generally out played but a part-time club. That doesn't make sense, however it happens so often in the NL.

It's horrible that visiting fans have this impression of our club! I do hope that the chairman and board read them!

Cider123-initially when I started reading your post I felt it fairly reflected the game. However it then turned into a rant. If you read all the posts on here u will notice that I am not impressed with some of our fans either--but then nor should you be. As a fan who attends every away game of course i'm impressed with your following-as I was with pompey support who stuck by them through thick and thin. There r totally committed fans at every club despite the trials and tribulations of how the team does. They will support them whatever league there in and fair play to them. Yes we r lucky to have an owner who puts his money where his mouth is - none of EFC will dispute this and we r honoured and priviledged to have him as our owner. But that does not guarantee success--it is the players on the day who win or lose games. Remember Eastleigh is a small town in a shadow of a premier league club. Its catchment area is small and many fans support both teams. A home game at both grounds 2 days running takes its toll on attendances. I dont offer this as an excuse just a matter of fact that gets forgotten when rants start. Be proud of your team they deserved to win. On the day u played better football, your support was better than ours and ur managers tactics were spot on. Good luck on your journey

Nothing like smug away supporters who think their club going out of business owing thousands to many people is totally acceptable I suggest you read up on the facts before you post. Nothing about us is smug, try having your club run into the ground by a so called supporter with no clue on how to run a football club, then him p1ssing off on holiday for 6 months whilst the fans raised money in buckets, kids gave their pocket money, Omid Djalilli kindly did a charity stand up night all trying desperately to raise enough money to clear the tax bill! It was all in vein, Keyte sold "our" club for a quid to a bunch of cockney criminals to "get out quick". We then had all of the bull sh1t excuses of them transferring ownership and chairmen around amongst their friends as none of them passed the FA due diligence checks. They failed to pay a bond to the conference ans we dropped down a couple of divisions. the fans boycotted and we had months of agony until the club folded. A lot of local businesses lost money when the club folded so how is this smug? The ground was handed back to the council and supporters rallied around to start a new club, 5 or so supporters put tens of thousands in to start (much of this was used to pay for ground improvements), we were given permission by the council to play at Edgar st with a hitch, only 3 sides of the ground, and we are slowly making it back. since then we have had a trip to Wembley, promotions and now in the FA Cup first round. So call us what you want, but smug we are not, we are all too aware how easy it is for it all to come crashing down without a sugar daddy bank rolling us. We have never had one and never want one. United we stand!
