Any update on how many tickets each side has sold? Have Hereford sold their allowance yet? Their attendance in the last round was 2,440 so hopefully there will be a good atmosphere!

Pretty strong lineup in my opinion. Very very happy to see Cressy back on the bench!!!

Didn't think that would take long 😂😂 the beauty of the FA Cup is also the worst feeling in football Come on you Blues 😎😎
By the way Richard Hill is staying and will keep us in the league good to see the injuries clearing up.

Pretty clueless in attack, we didn’t create any chances in open play. Pretty much got what we deserved, not pretty to watch, still back to the league.

Next season will be/might be the 20th anniversary of the first game I watched at Eastleigh. This afternoon was the worst performance I've seen from EFC and, believe me, I've seen some stinkers.
We were the only National League side to lose to lower opposition today. The real difference was that HFC wanted to win and for whatever reason we showed nothing of that commitment.
After the farce that was last season when we seemed to think that Manager of the Week awards were won by sacking them every 7 days,I thought things couldn't be as bad this term. Now I'm not so sure.

Pretty much as I anticipated before the game, the only exception being that I didn't think we'd score. Yes, for 5 mins after that we threatened a bit, but we didn't really look like scoring again & didn't deserve to. From there, Hereford controlled the game & deserved their win.
At the moment we look a bereft of passion, tactical ideas and any way out of the mire we're in. Big changes needed. Somehow I can't see it happening.
Hope Garyn Preen is OK after having been taken to hospital. Not pleasant seeing any player being taken from the pitch like that.

2017 has been awful for Eastleigh football club, four managers, turn style player recruitment, dodgy pitch. we are a joke among fellow National league members and it just hit a new low. For 14 years I have been full time Spitfires supporter, through many highs and lows, and have, sometimes, struggled to keep the faith but now the faith has evaporated.

Is it really a new low in the past 14 years losing to a lower league team in the cup? Or is it just a bad month and we are now up there to be shot at?

I thought I would read the normal stuff about the team lacking passion. I'm sure someone will come on here and say we didn't try and weren't bothered that we lost. All nonsense of course. We had plenty of passion, and you could see the team were desperate to do well, too desperate, shown by our second red card. The reason we lost is we weren't good enough. I have been, and still am of the opinion that RH should stay. That said I cannot understand how we can have a team full of players without pace, and I do think our habit of playing guys well advanced in years/injury prone is doing us no favours.
In the game Hereford were fairly decent, I suspect that they could survive in the national League, and they had two huge slices of luck, the first goal was a complete fluke, and the sending off was harsh, with the attacker going away from goal when he was fouled - I wonder how many of those would be given against any of the big 6 premier league teams! That said we got what we deserved ie nothing, and I am under no illusions - we are in for a tough winter; I am however not under the illusion that sacking RH will result in us magically flying up the table.
Back for Gateshead. Must do better.
