I would never wear the colours of a different team to another ground.
No me neither. Its just a simple matter of politeness.

I think its a fair comment to ban people entering the ground against Pompey wearing saints shirts, it might just inflame a few idiots as there is real genuine hatred between Pompey and saints. I suspect most saints fans who attend the game will not be daft enough to wear their club colours for the very reason of the hatred that exists. Pompey John is a real character who no doubt will get a very good welcome from Eastleigh fans, all we need is a nice summer evening and a game played in the right spirit.
A few years ago we went by train to Lewes to watch the Spitfires the same day Pompey were playing at Brighton and we met scores of them on the train and in Brighton, they saw our Eastleigh shirts, gave the thumbs up and told us we were all right, they loved the fact we didn't support that lot down the road and had great banter with them. I think it will be an enjoyable night all round because of that, Pompey fans like Eastleigh if truth be known.

To be fair to Fairoak he might have just got aggressive due to being tired from travelling all the way to Middlesbrough and back yesterday ππ ha no westend I didn't go to that one , very good though, I don't go to many games these days home or away, just a few a year as I do at Eastleigh, had an awards ceremony last night aswell for my lads footy team, that play at stoneham park so am completely local and well within my rights to go to saints , spitfires etc blah blah. Certainly wasn't aggressive in my responses and no offence to anyone just people on here seem to get wound up and start panicking very easily. I don't wear saints tops to Eastleigh games in fact am probably going to get an Eastleigh top next year, not the blue one though, haha am sure the match v THAT LOT DOWN THE M27 will be fine, if people are daft enough to cause trouble then shame on them but you can't help some people, am sure they will bring a couple of loons that are out for trouble aswell, that's the nature of some people. I have friends that are poopey, just get on with it.

I am not a Saints fan. In fact the only time I have been to St Marys is to watch Eastleigh play in a cup final. However there is no doubting in my mind that our links with Southampton have played an important part in our rise up the non-league pyramid and although I know that not everyone gets on with some of our stewards, but I do think that our links with Southampton football club in terms of stewarding of games are still of benefit to us.
We have played Portsmouth in friendlies when we have had far more players with Southampton links than we do and these have passed without incident and we are better equipped to handle games than ever before. Also Portsmouth have trained (I am not sure whether they still do) at the nearby Wellington Sports ground for a number of years.

To be fair I don't see that many shirts of different clubs, not just saints at the silverlake, 3 or so years ago there were certainly more cos people were interested as to what was going on, I think now as things have progressed Eastleigh is the club for them and they have a second team that they keep their eye on π

Probably the kids!! There a saints top framed on the wall in what was the executive area π€. I am not on here to wind anyone up especially the guys that have been supporting the club for many many years so good on u all for sticking up and being passionate, all I will do is comment on how I see things since starting to come regularly in the last few years. I think it's great and I will be there next season.

Your not winding any one up fairoak it's a discussion pal what forums are for i think you are correct re the premier pricing fans out, the stalwarts of any club will always find the money to go but for me personally I would have started to come to Eastleigh anyhow due to the exposure and just the journey the club has been on, there is a wonderful chairman, a cracking ground and a nice atmosphere and I have now made a new PAL. Look forward to more discussions in the future.
