the Pompey game is just going to be a massive wind up with Saints shirts everywhere, unless the club step in and ban them now. its got to be a bigger safety issue then the odd pyro or the kids standing too close to the away fans so hopefully there will be an early announcement that any saints badges shirts etc are banned. we could even keep the ban in place 😀

I'd imagine the policing cost would eat fair bit of money made from the game. What category would the police put this game at?? as its been a few years

Yeah ok mate, calm down, I don't think it's gonna come to that!! I don't thk all of a sudden just cos The Fish are in town u all need to wet your pants. Friendly banter blah blah , u take the new fans i.e. Mainly saints out if it then u will be playing in front of 400?? It's a pre season game that's all. What u gonna do if Eastleigh get to the football league and draw saints in league cup?? Stop all the anti saints crap will you. Saints fans want eastleigh to do well end of.

I get the anti saints bit. If you follow saints go and watch saints, its a joke folk coming down Eastleigh fc wearing saints shirts like Eastleigh are their reserves or something. Just who do they think they are? Eastleigh fc are not saints, they're a team in their own right. Go and wear a saints shirt in the home end of another football club and see how you get on. I'll tell ya, its a good job Eastleigh are a tolerant bunch!!

it's got absolutely nothing to do with being anti Saints so please calm down sir.
Eastleigh are playing Portsmouth, we all know that at each Eastleigh game a few people wear Saints branded clothing, some even wear the shirt. if a sizable number of people do so at the pompey friendly it would be for one reason only and in my view that would be to wind up the opposition fans and it would be successful because they will have people looking for it as well.
doing so would put people who just want to watch the football in danger. My views would be the same for MK Dons fans attending the Wimbledon friendly but do not feel that it may be an issue with that one.
I've no issue with people supporting other teams whoever they are, but as your response to my comment shows, we have a situation that could potentially escalate because some people will be looking for trouble.
My tongue in cheek comnent re banning them for good was just that, however despite growing up on a seperate terrace myself, I would never wear the colours of a different team to another ground.

I got no problem with that team down the road fans coming to watch Eastleigh play just don't wear the shirts that's the bit that's disrespectful or better still stop being so tight fisted and go watch your team away 😂

I just think that there are many times and places to demonstrate your allegiance to a football club, but at another club's ground in a game that's nothing to do with you (even when they're playing your biggest rivals) just isn't one of them.
