"The only people who oppose anti-racist gestures are racists. Racists rarely admit they're racist- they try to hide their backlash under a seemingly respectable cloak." Not from me, but Sanjay Bhandari, Chair of Kick It Out, which Bomber claimed to support. Please read the following piece and it's clear where Bomber, rocky & Cure4 are coming from. They're not racists but..................... inews.co.uk/sport/football/millwall-boo-players-take-knee-black-lives-matter-kick-it-out-sanjay-bhandari-786298BTW, The i is not a left wing comic, but originally an offshoot of the Independent, it is owned by Associated Newspapers which owns the Mail on Sunday, although it is editorially independent.

So if we don't kow-tow to what is a proven politically motivated organisation we are racists?
Is that really the best you can do, well then I am wasting my time responding to you.
Maybe you would like to call me a racist at the next game!

Have you read the article? I don't know you & you don't know me so no chance of that happening. I wouldn't do it anyway as I'm far too polite.

Yes, I have read the article that you choose to use so selectively. You say you are too polite to call me a racist to my face yet you are happy to bang it out on your keyboard. Polite? No, I call it something else!

But you don't say what you call it. I'm merely standing up for what I believe in. Interesting that Admin has chosen not to delete this thread, & I'd suggest that is because the debate has been civilised.
I'd be interested in your comments on the actions of the players in the PSG v the Turkish team whose name I forget this week, ie the game was halted over a racist comment made by the 4th official with the players from both teams united in walking off. The game was restarted the following day with new officials and the players taking a knee before the game. Perhaps Uefa/Fifa are finally waking up to player power over racism.

I'm in agreement with John Barnes on that one, he saw nothing wrong with the official describing the coach as the black one. How the hell was he supposed to describe him when all the coaches were wearing the same kit. As Barnes said if there were ten black men and one white man in a room, would there be an uproar if you referred to the white guy as the white one. I doubt it!
This is all getting ridiculous and in my opinion, the players should realise that they are there because of the supporters and stop trying to play politics and stick to what they are good at.

It's the politics of hatred and division that I can't stand, especially trumpism and everything he stands for. This government have copied him, along with the right wing press in this country.
Who is going to make a stand against racism if not the players? The F.A., Uefa, FIFA have been pretty pathetic. And what happens when the first gay player 'comes out'? Taking this country as an example, he can only do it with unequivocal support from the FA, PL, & his club. Homophobia is just like racism among the intolerants. They jump on any difference or weakness. You will find other players support that player and all who subsequently come out.

I thought that the Premier League had dropped Black Lives Matter on their shirts and replaced it with No Room For Racism as they had concerns. about it.
I do not agree with the booing of those who do take the Knee as it is a gesture that means a lot to those who are taking the action, but if people want to have a universal code of conduct to tackle the issue it is important that as many people as possible feel comfortable with it.
Albert Johanneson in Leeds United days received a tremendous amount of stick from fans and no-one wants to see that kind of thing returning, but I do believe on treating individual situations on their own merit.

That is a good point UQ about Premier League and EFL taking the knee has two different meanings, no room for racism is completely different to EFL 'BLM' knee stance where, as people have commented, BLM have certain political motives. Thankfully we live in a country where all views can be voiced, who is to say whether Millwall booing was a bad thing, people have to right to question and boo things they are against, whether that suits our own personal opinions is completely irrelevant. You could say some Millwall fans actions have further pushed the agenda around the knee situation further forward as changes seem to be happening with regards to EFL games.
Some of the instantaneous commentary from pundits such as Dion Dublin and Clinton Morrison were astonishing. Dion Dublin called all 'boo'ers' racists, these are Millwall fans who have grown up with BAME people their whole lives and support and celebrate BAME players when they pull on the Millwall shirt, you can't tar all people with the same brush, Millwall is a fantastic club with often wins awards for Community work and that isn't just because of officials that is because of the fans too.
