The 'C' word was used Saturday yet no one was evicted so our young fans think they can do what they like? Problems on a coach, flares, and language they just laugh. Reality is people have been made ill because of such behaviour and risking lives on coach travel......kids having fun??? Try saying that if a death occurs to a grieving family because no action is taken. I am confident the club will act shortly on this issue so that these kids know just how much they risk their freedom from criminal offences and banning orders from football stadiums of at least three years....then they might think about growing up for their own good.

Bad language is another matter, and you won't get rid of that.
We hear players using it, it happens in everyday life, in the media, pretty much everywhere. Despite having seen posters, programmes at many grounds, that tell you to moderate your language, it's hardly ever enforced.
The worst language I heard in the away end at Brentford was from a middle-aged man who supported Saints, from the content of his rantings - not kids. Not to pick on Saints (Pompey fans are pretty foul-mouthed too), but if we're talking about the young, they only copy what they see from others, and think it's grown-up to do so. The 'F' word shocked people in the 60s, so young people started using it then, nowadays the 'C' word is considered shocking, so they'll use that instead.
From what I've seen Eastleigh fans are no better and no worse than the vast majority of football fans as regards bad language.

Spirit are you really telling me that you have not heard the 'c' word at a footy ground prior to a young fan using it? You must wear ear muffs, swearing is not a generational thing do you really plan to stop it? The issues are the flares (2) and the behaviour on the coach, but for crying out loud let the club sort it and stop making out the kids are all one and the same and that they are all scum of the earth criminals they are not.

Women do not want to hear the 'c' word...it is offensive and more importantly if they are a family at the ground they do not want their children hearing it. Have you no sense of morals for the greater good?

I don't want to hear it either, but you seem to think it is down to the young fans, it's not, I've heard plenty of people call the officials and opposition the 'c' word at Eastleigh, all different ages most of them old enough to know better, do you plan a campaign to stop swearing? Your over exaggeration does not help the situation, the club have taken action and banned individuals, yet you are all making out we are running the risk of death by going tomorrow night. The danger of death by watching Eastleigh was far greater when we had to walk down a pitch black Stoneham Lane with traffic coming both ways, another issue the club sorted. Let the kids enjoy themselves, stop tarring them all with the same brush and although I'm sure 'Women' appreciate your concern they were marching on Saturday against patronising comments such as yours....

there are sooooo many things that go on in different social environments which wouldn't necessarily be the norm when people are in different surroundings ( home, work, with family members etc ) - sometimes it seems that people think that once you step inside a football ground, rules change - you can say, shout and do what you want, be abusive to match officials and opposition team members etc Unfortunately, its never going to be a perfect world - yes there are faults with the younger generation ( there normally is lol ) but there are also faults with other generations too..... I sit in the blue stand which is fairly sedate - however, on more than one occasion this season have phrases like "I see we've signed another darkie this week" and "that blackie out on the wing" - language and behaviour that the younger generation wouldn't condone as they've have grown up in such a diverse and mixed cultural society. Also, consider how many of the older generation have at least 2 pints in the clubhouse before a game and then drive home - again something that the younger generation has had instilled in them not to do due to being taught that D&D is not acceptable from a very young age through school and ad campaigns. btw am 48 and all for the greater good ;-) but not done a sociology degree, just making a few counter observations

The real problem are the over exaggerated comments made by people on here. I know you have all been to a game and if you really think it is acceptable that anyone stands there swearing at the referee, linesman, the opposition goalkeeper or supporters and that this is going to encourage families to bring their kids and grandkids you are in cloud-cuckoo land, but I wouldn't mind betting a large sum of money that you have all partaken in these activities and maybe worse and if you haven't partaken you have definitely witnessed it. Yet when some kids start enjoying themselves, on your patch, it's time they were outlawed, horse whipped or worse. Get over yourselves and see it for what it is, a growing club that is bringing in the young people of Eastleigh and trying to embrace them warts and all, what our club is doing by bringing these people on board is securing the future not scaring people away, change is scary but there is definitely room for everyone. So if my idea of fun is to kick friar tuck out of some little turd with a smoke bomb - also illegal - will that just be put down by you as "its only someone having fun" and because that's "my thing" the said turd should "embrace me warts and all"

The club have banned those responsible for the smoke bombs and if you were to go down your violent path I'm sure they would ban you, but you wouldn't find me saying that all Dave's are the same and we should ban the lot of them, in the same way that Bryan's comment above does not mean that everyone who sits in the blue stand is a racist! I'm going to duck out of this one now as we will never agree so if you require the last word please help yourself, see you tomorrow COYS

You haven't said the illegal stuff needs sorting you have constantly said its kids having fun! I'm not saying all the kids are bad - just the ones with smoke/pyro, causing damage at Sutton (both to the ground & the reputation of EFC) & the ones endangering a coach The violent path was my comparison - I think I would end up in court for that one Look forward to seeing you tomorrow - will probably be at Camberley Town v Farnham Town in the Aldershot Cup - I'll be happy to buy you a brew if you see me behind the home goal with an EFC hat on!

My worry is the bad language and abuse at opposition players by teenagers wearing Eastleigh FC tracksuits and despite being told to cut it out, just carry on.

Sadly some people believe pretty much exactly that willk. I think if you turn that "opinion" on its head and take the exact opposite of it, then that is broadly speaking where Stewart & the club are coming from in terms of building our fanbase and going forwards as a club at the heart of the Eastleigh community. OK in principle but unless unacceptable behaviour by the idiot minority is stopped there is a real danger that it will damage these aims of increasing the fanbase and taking the club forward. Surely the aim should be to support a club where families are content to bring their kids and grandkids to games without fear. Get a grip mate!
