Well the first half was awesome, the interplay from Eastleigh was the best lve seen us play, and the best half I have seen at home for seasons. Dont know why we didnt keep it going for the second half but the damage was done by then. I have to ask the question tho, why do we always kick into the green stand in the first half, and not in the second half? the sun was in Max eyes and he constantly had his glove up shielding his eyes for the whole of the first half. In the second half the sun had gone down behind the main stand by 10 minutes past 4 and the woking keeper had no problems. As the spring arrives this will be more of a problem for Max than the opposition keeper as the it will get sunnier. Also coupled with that we often have a late purple patch in the second half, where we tend to batter the opposition, and if this were to be into the green stand with all the noisy boys, surely this increased volume of support would spur the team on. If anyone reads this can you pass this onto Strevs or the captain and ask them to consider it.

I liked the look of Scrimshaw, loved his endeavour and also Alibis endeavour too, he was rattling their big balding defender, however I dont know what Mr Rendle brings to the table and I would have taken him off, earlier, and replaced him with Barnet as I feel he and Alibi have a threat about them as he partners Tyrone where Mr Rendle does not. Also why change things at half time and move Alibi to left wing ? it doesnt fool the opposition defence it never did under Hill, it just means the midfield and our defense have to work where their front men are or rather where the big has gone and where the smaller one with bear shins is now playing. Ive just realised, weve relaced Richard Hill with Richard Hill junior

I am a bit surprised that nobody on here has made a comment about Mr. Paynes reaction to a number of Eastleigh fans, calling out to him when an early first half free kick awarded to us, amd taken solely by him, went feebly to their first defender, and quickly cleared away by Maidenhead. and when Eastleigh fans displayed their dismay to Mr. Payne, his retort was to tell the Eastleigh fans to F... O.., over his shoulder it was right in front of families and guests, what a charmer !!!!

I agree about Partingtons passing, and Paynes corners and free kicks etc, however I also think Mr. Payne plays most of his game facing our own goal, and constantly playing the ball back to the central defenders or dangerously across the penalty box. This happens so often even though it looks as though a counter attack against the opposition is a possibility, we seem to to delay and either hold play up, or play it square or backwards. I liked the look of the loanees, and Alabi certainly wanted to get on the score sheet, I hope they settle in fast and get match fit quickly as well. I cannot contemplate relegation, its just not in the Eastleigh history book.

I know he went off injured at Bromley and he probably is still injured, but if he could just do as many games for the rest of the season, he is awesome when fit and we need him right now

really back for more? i could name a few weak forays into cup football that were pathetic bearing our league standings at the time, such as Burgess Hill twice, chippenham town, Leighton Town ,Chasetown, harlow Town, Hemel Hempstead, and then FA Cup Hampton & Richmond last season !! Oxford City twice,Gloucester City,Hereford , I cany wait to see what we do this season.

It is winnable though, if the management approach it properly and not just regard it as a game we can afford to loos, which was richard hills outlook, and as he was assistant to hilly possibly strevs might be from the same stable
