Draw for First Round Proper of the FA Youth Cup was published earlier today, unsure why we have not put out the detail but here goes.
We are away to Forest Green Rovers, the game must be played by Saturday 5th November. Not sure what night FGR normally choose as this is their first game in this year's comp.
Other Hants sides still in.
Horndean are away to Woking, if Andover Town beat Ardley next Thursday they will be away to Bristol Rovers. No date confirmation on these yet.
The one game that already has a hard and fast date is Gosport Borough. They are home to Bromley on Thursday 3rd with a 7pm ko.

Thanks NKC will be looking to go after this week's superb watch, hopefully get parked more nearer the ground than my earlier season visit when I was in the Brighton HA section.

Not about today but see the EDS are confirmed as a 2pm ko at the Silverlake, looking for a second club win over Dorking Wanderers in a week.

The EDS beat Boreham Wood on Friday with a second big win in the week. Wood had more of the ball for first 20 minutes but did not test keeper Hardcastle. Suddenly EDS clicked with 2 goals in a minute which really knocked the stuffing out of the visitors It was 4-0 by the break, including two good goals by Walker and a fine strike from outside the box by Mellor.
Second half was all Eastleigh with 5 more goals added including a wind assisted own half cracker from Pomeroy.
Eastleigh 9 Boreham Wood 0

Assuming the FA Youth Cup game is played on the evening of Wednesday 2nd and anyone travelling wanted to make a day of it then there is a chance to take in a new ground at 2pm that afternoon. Currently, and I know these things often change, Gloucester City are due to play Weston Super Mare in the National League Under 19 Youth Alliance at Gloucesters new home ground, the Meadow 2pm. This is a 3g pitch so fixture likely to be played unless there is a change to the league calendar.

EDS won 4-2 this afternoon away to Aldershot in the League.
The Under 18s 2nd years were due to be home to North Leigh in the League Cup but that is now down for tomorrow, Thurs, at Stoneham Complex with a 12 noon ko.
Do not understand the Under 17s 1st years at all. They won 1-0 at Havant & W in the last round of the League Cup and were drawn away to Worthing in the round due to be played today. But I see we ended up with no game today and Worthing beat Havant 7-0 in the Cup. Assume someone (admin wise?) at Eastleigh fugged up in that Havant game and the youngsters have missed out and been punished for an error. Not sure we will ever know why, as the Hampshire FA posters say 'we only do positive'.

With regard the EDS, is there any truth in the rumour they 3 Eastleigh players were sent off AFTER the game today?

I know it is very late notice but I was just about to set off for 2nd year scholars 12noon ko to date and the FA Full Time website has been changed overnight to say it is at Deer Park School, Hedge End (the new home ground of Hedge End Rangers). Nothing at all from Eastleigh about this. All pretty poor in terms of keeping Joe public in the know.

2nd year scholars won 3-0 in the League Cup game, played at Deer Park School in Botley. Decent performance against a club that was their Achiltibuie heel in League and Cup last season.
Liam Webber was outstanding at the back and Leo Downing and Lewis Williams amongst the scorers again. Job done.

For some reason the 2nd year scholars played again today, just 24 hours after the cup winner over North Leigh. Assume this was not a good idea as they lost 1-0 at, struggling, Woking in Division E.
