When was this agreed? I don't use the place so wont lose £5, but it took longer to get served in the Hangar yesterday which was disappointing.

I was in there from 1.30 until 2.30 and had no problems getting served. Also at half time was expecting queues but got served strait away.

Hardly anyone in Sherwoods before the game. can see why if they are changing to get in. Sounds like a poor business decison lets get people in the bars in the club, buying pints and building up the atomosphere

It was announced last season but wasn't really picked up on this forum. To be fair to EFC, it was stated on the season ticket forms for this season with a £50 charge for the whole season.

Start charging supporters to want to drink in the Sherwood bar, then straight off the bat you're talking £9 for your first pint with entrance fee, even if you have just two pints, it still works out at £6-50p for each of your pints. And we moan about London pubs charging £5 for a pint!!!! Sounds like Sherwoods will bomb this season, its plain crazy, you've paid to get into the ground, you shouldn't have to pay further to get into a bar inside the ground.
It would make better business sense to drop the £5 entry fee, and put the match day entry price up a £1 to cover it.

Reading Kenny's excellent note on the Facebook forum they had to make it a members only area in order to use glass rather than plastic - which is what some supporters wanted. Now maybe a £1 member's fee automatically added to the ticket but with the option to remove might persuade a few more people. As lovely as the new bar is, until they sort out the handpumps I'm happy to return to the Hanger. They do need to sort out access as my understanding was the hanger was 'outside the ground' pre match hence open to away fans. But they seemed to be letting people into and out of the ground. So you could wander into the hanger and straight into the ground without paying.

So basically you're saying for £5 you can drink out of a glass pint instead of a plastic one? What planet are EFC on!!!!! The Sherwoods bar is in an area in which ONLY Eastleigh fans can enter, who in their right minds would think Eastleigh fans would want to glass one of their own?? That is an extreme view to take, and if I may say so, a very sad one. For one thing somebody who is really drunk would not get inside the Sherwoods bar if the door keeper is on the ball, and secondly if bar staff have a concern, they can inform the door keeper to eject said person. This is the biggest load of B0ll(oKs EFC has ever come up with, and its bloody pathetic. Members only.....that actually might be illegal how they've set it up.

Stop whining, either pay the £50 for the season or £5 for the day. If you don’t want to do that then go in The Hanger!

As we all know, Spirit of Eastleigh Aerodrome will winge, criticise, whine, moan, complain about anything & everything that EFC do. Never has anything positive to say. No concept of running a business or giving people options at a price. Still can't get his head around the fact that his mate SD has left the club and that the club has to be run more frugally now. Actually, the decision to charge for entry into Sherwoods was made when he was still at the club.
The real mystery, though is that he claims to be passionate about the club. Funny way of showing it. I'm inclined to say come back Wilk, at least you were consistent, but I won't.
And before you write the inevitable response, just like trump can't take criticism without responding in a hostile way, just consider how many fans agree with the drivel you post, compared to those who hold it with the same contempt that I do, but are too polite to say anything.

There are times Martin when the club gets it wrong, and it is up to supporters to voice it. I am not a 'yes' man like yourself who thinks everything EFC do is right and we must not criticise them. Yes the decision to charge was made when SD was still at the club, but at £2 NOT £5 I think you'll find, I and a few others told him it would backfire. Overall I have said more positive comments than negative ones on anything EFC. I have seen Eastleigh play at 48 different grounds across the Country I think that allows me to voice my opinions whether you like it or not. You consider it to be drivel because you don't agree, you are like a robot programmed to only think and see positives. You also bang on about SD was my mate, well let me correct you that WAS is incorrect, he still is a mate and always will be. SD listened to supporters, he was honest and straight no matter what the comment was, he got things wrong in some areas, and he admitted it. The £5 Sherwood entry is wrong, and if you polled everyone in the ground last Saturday I'll bet over 95% would agree, don't kid yourself otherwise Martin, people are not stupid about something like that. It makes the club look bad, already other club forums are mocking it. 'Eastleigh spend over £2million on a new bar and charge supporters £5 to go in it' what brilliant PR that is, but you don't mind do you Martin, you back the club 100%, you're not embarrassed that our club is mocked are you. You compare me to Trump, that I can't take criticism and then respond in a hostile way. I hold my hands up to once being hostile to a particular person, but that person knew an apology had been given and accepted before he started to attack me again. If I get things wrong I am happy to be corrected, nobody is perfect and can be right all the time, I'm not that arrogant. Too many fans are too polite to say anything about my drivel, well lets say when I meet fellow fans, including quite a few Ladies I might add, in Supermarkets, Coffee Shops, Pubs, Clubs, or walking round the town centre, they all remark on my forum posts, I seldom get a negative comment so clearly the drivel as you call it Martin comes from someone who is anti 'spiritofeastleigh' But I don't mind that in the least Martin, as I always say, each and every person is entitled to their own opinions, and long may they continue to do so. And I'll leave you with one thought Martin if you haven't already heard about something that came out of the club, a leak you might say, that spread like wildfire at Winchester when Eastleigh played them the other week. In the long term SD will be coming back to finish what he started. Oh perish the thought Martin, he's not a mate of yours is he

The Club got it wrong they realised they got it wrong and said they will put it right, yet 2 days after they said they would put it right Spirit is on here slagging off the Club. No issue with you having your say Spirit and it doesn't have to be a positive say as far as I'm concerned, but to still be slagging off the club for a mistake they have admitted and said they will rectify 48 hours ago is a bit daft. The mistakes that have caused the club to seek alternative revenue streams were made by the previous incumbent and sent him running when he realised how serious those mistakes were.
One thing is for certain SD will either succeed at Sunderland or it will bankrupt him he won't be back here, he is currently getting the adoration of 30k supporters and plenty of national media attention, Eastleigh couldn't give him that and never will be able to.
Final point, even though the forum hasn't got any better without him I think Nobad should be disciplined for mentioning that name :-)
