I was convinced purely from memory that Gravesend had once played in the football league but have to admit that my memory is wrong on this. I still hold that the referee on Tuesday night was very poor. It appears you suffer from long term memory loss, as well as short term. The one thing I do agree upon though is the standard of refereeing, if you thought the referee was all for Ebbsfleet then you must have been watching a different game to me. Surely by now you must realise that a lot of decisions they give, we all don't agree with, do they even out through the season,? actually I don't think they do. I felt we had two very good shouts for penalties in the second half ourselves, one was a cert as far as I was concerned, but it doesn't matter what I think, or anyone else for that matter. Anyhow I enjoyed my visit, and a nice ground.

As you reflect fleetphibva, we tend to notice the decisions that go against us. It seemed on the day though that we were getting more than our fair share of bad ones. Anyway, glad you enjoyed your visit and we'll be looking forward to meeting you again next season if your play off chances don't come to anything. Martin, I don't understand why we seem to get so many poor referees at this level. I watched the National South match recently between Havant & Waterlooville and St Albans which was played at a decent pace with a lot of end to end action and the referee (Ryan T Atkin from London according to the teamsheet) was very good. He was far better than most of the referees I have seen in the many National league games I have watched.
