Re the proposed development of the Mackoy, one thing to possibly take into consideration is this may well take us further away from football league ground grading.
Even with the new west stand open, with no seats in the Mackoy that would leave the silverlake with a total of just 900 seats. Entry to the football league requires 1000 seats and to stay in the football league requires 2000 seats (I think you get 3 years to get them done).
I understand there are plans to add more seats elsewhere in the ground and obviously we do not appear to be on the verge of promotion so any deadlines re numbers of seats are hypothetical at the moment!

The second extension to the West side of the ground will add more seats (plus hostility suites) so that will bring the total to around 1,400 - more than enough to get into the League. Yes, we would have to add an additional 600 to stay there after the 3rd season. But that is going to be 4-5 years away at the earliest.

Let's not get too concerned about providing seats for away fans when the Mackoy stand is redeveloped. Yesterday at Maidstone, 2 hours before KO, I asked a steward about getting a transfer into the seated section. She said she had 9 seats available for away fans!!! I didn't bother, but those that did sit had very little cover & got wet. Even Richard Hill couldn't get a seat, & had to stand with the rest of us.
So, if clubs have to provide X number of seats for away fans, Maidstone are clearly not complying at the moment. This will no doubt be remedied when the river side part of the ground is developed but that could be a year or 2 away.
Their new terrace at the north end is excellent, although I'd prefer it built in concrete rather than metal as it is. Good steep terracing with barriers every 2 steps.
