how much longer do we think he has before he gets the chop? i reckon if we get no more than one point from the next 3 he will walk or be sacked.
reckon thinks will turn around before then though, lets hope for some good support and a positive result tomorrow

Been there done that it doesn't work. As fans we need to get behind him 100%, too much whinging in football mainly due to gentrification. We need to take a leaf from the Koln fans this week and realise what we have and just bloody enjoy it.

Keep RH. The only time to even think of replacing him is if relegation becomes a realistic possibility. I don't see that, so leave him in the job.

Not sure anyone else could do any better, if what he says in the Echo interview this week about the mess he inherited is true.
He knows and loves the club, he works very hard, he's steadying the ship - as I've said before, anyone expecting more this season is 'optimistic' to say the least - although I'd be very interested to hear what the chairman thinks!!!! There have already been 'good days' and 'bad days', I expect to see a few more. I don't feel he's completely got a handle on his squad yet, partly due to the number of injuries.
Having said that, with the closeness of the league at this juncture, things can change very quickly.
I'm sure RH is under enough pressure already. I don't think posts like the one at the head of this thread are very helpful. The replies to it are much more realistic.

The mess he inherited was huge! I'm sure he's done a helllif a lot to sort it behind the scenes, at the moment the actual football is just part of what he's sorting out. It's a long term fix so we just gotta be patient, give them all time as frustrating as it is sometimes! There is no quick fix!

Its a silly thread, he's only lost TWO games for crikes sake......over the season that would amount to just NINE!!!!!!!

What I really don't understand is that he keeps on saying he inherited a crock of crap, yet in his interview with the Echo he says he doesn't blame either SD or ANY of the previous managers.
If that's the case, what on earth has been going on in the club to make it such a crock of, and who was accountable for that ?
Either way it also sounds like the previous managers must also have inherited a crock of - which maybe explains why so many players went through the revolving door last season.

The problem with many football fans is things are either really brilliant or absolutely terrible, football fans in general just don't do seriously average. You just need to listen to 606 on radio 5 for proof. Well sorry folks, but what RH has and what we are watching this season is a seriously average team. That's not to say that on our day we are not capable of beating almost team at our level and even above our level, or that we couldn't have a real stinker and lose to a team we shouldn't be losing to. RH is also capable of improving things, getting a run together, breeding a bit of confidence and heh presto strange things can start to happen. BUT and its a big but, chances are we are going to spend this season in the middle third of the table, hopefully we'll go on a cup run (or two), and hopefully we'll see some entertaining football. One things for sure getting rid of Richard Hill, a man who is a football man, with a love of our club, would be really, really stupid; and probably very very expensive in the short and long term. Just leave it to RH to steady the ship this year and improve on it next, but please refrain from telling me we will win the league this year, or next, or we will get relegated this year or next. Almost certainly we won't and it makes you sound a bit silly saying it.

I think it's obvious he's a very limited manager in terms of tactics and plan bs but yes, a very decent chap who needs to be in charge the whole season to restore some credibility

Fair points. I am just hoping we get some decent results which will help ease any pressure. Really hope he can be successful with us this time around as he was in his last spell in charge

We've lost fewer games than every team above us in the league except from D+R who have lost the same amount. Losing 2 games in 11 shouldn't be a sackable offence for a mid-table team...

if we can win at Hartepool on Saturday I think this whole thread becomes almost redundant. football fans are so fickle

...and if we lose 3-0, there will be a steady rise in those thinking RH should go. Win, lose or draw, he should stay. End of.

The team is in a mess and we now have a very average manager in charge of a very average team. The expectation and excitement of 2/3 years ago has been replaced with the weekly gloom of watching a situation which isn't getting any better. Great to have s****y new bars, restaurants and new stands but in reality this club is completely stuck in that league and will be for many years to come.
