I've heard from a reliable source that after the Wrexham game they will be digging up the whole pitch to a greater depth and lay turf which will take appx 8 weeks so it can bed in for the pre season

I can't believe people are saying it was a mistake to let MA go. We would've definitely gone down with him in charge. Really ??!! After yesterday ?? Could you really see MA not picking up points at York, North Ferriby and Solihull ??
RH is not capable of taking us to the next level. MA has a track record that suggests he was worth persevering with. He could also attract players to us.
It's easy to get out of the Conference South when you have the biggest budget, not so easy to get out of this league though and we'll have Orient and maybe Hartlepool with us next year.
Why did MA let so many players go - his decision, or that of a frustrated chairman who wants quick success ?
I'll be pleased when this disaster of a season is over, but we need no more mistakes from the very top. We need to hold our nerve.
I may be pessimistic, but I can see Guy Butters coming back as RH's number two and another year of frustration ahead.

Seems to me selling Coulson and Mandron just as they were both firing on all cylinders was a huge mistake, it was as if money was needed and we should of cashed in, surely it would of been better to have ended the season then if they had both scored 20 plus goals each we could of commanded a higher fee if selling was the preferred option, we never replaced them with any quality, in fact the then manager seemed to just bring in Barnet reserve players, they were awful it has to be said. Just a weird way the season went! For all the good things said Mr Allen did nothing, never even attended any forums, did anybody hear him speak??? On the line there were gesticulations but not much else.

At least keeping Richard for next season will give us the stability we so desperately need. We've tried two experienced NL managers this season which didn't work so, much as I don't feel he is the right man for the job, it seems his current ways are working and 'if it ain't broke don't fix it'! (Well it nearly did...!) It is still broken upthespitfires. RH record only feels good because MA was so poor. Have liked Gary Johnson, most of the clubs he has taken over were in dire circumstances (I am not saying we are) and he has improved them. He could do a job at Eastleigh. I think you are right though RH will do the job next season. We seemed to turn a corner when RH first arrived but, having followed us to our last three away games, the football has been dismal. Ok we are now safe but it has felt like the players have just not really turned up with any passion or drive and, at the risk of sounding very selfish, I felt pretty let down as a travelling fan. The lads must all feel so demoralised and uncertain as to their futures - I bet there are less than half a dozen left by the start of the new season. It is, evidently still broken but I had felt that we needed the stability in management. However these recent games have proven that we're not currently a promotion seeking side and I'm really not convinced that RH is the man to get us out of this league. After all, he said in his last term that he'd taken us as far as he could, and I believe that is still the case.

Not really sure why people are expecting to have seen a big change up to the end of the season?
RH had just one target to achieve when he came in, get enough points to keep us in the league without spending any money. He acheived that and the rest is just seeing out the season and planning for next year.
Appreciate it is disappointing to travel for no reward but that is football in April if your team has nothing to play for.
The real measure of RH or a.n.other will be building the squad for next season and seeing how we go. However we cannot start chopping and changing again if we get to Sept and are not looking like play off challengers, whoever is the boss.
Stability is what we need if we have learnt anything from this season.

I think people were expecting a change because the view is that they are still underachieving. This is an expensive side and the players are on a good wage for this level. This is not RH fault of course but an inherited one. The manager's job I suspect will be decided on what SD ambitions are for next season. I suspect and hope building a team and stability is given priority over a massive spend for a promotion push, in which case RH will probably be that man. Either way there will have to be changes because this side does not look good enough. I must admit there are not many of this side I would keep for next season.

I doubt more than 3 members of the current squad will start next seasons. SD ambitions will be to get promoted. Am fairly sure RH will start the season, doubt he will finish it. I would love RH to start as DOF and for us to choose an experienced manager with proven success. Someone like Alan Devonshire. Whoever is manager will be under immense pressure. Expectations are at our club are so high, whoever is manager will probably not get much sleep.

We started off the season with a decent squad that had come close to the playoffs, last season, plus a few additions over the summer.
We did OK at the start of this season but weren't showing the expected improvement, so CT went.
RM came in, tweaked it a bit, did quite well, not brilliantly, but then left (got reasons that are still not clear).
MA came in, seemed to have carte blanche to build a squad to do a 'quick fix' to get promotion. He got rid of some of our best players for not great transfer fees, and brought in a lot of players he knew from Barnet. We went backwards. MA went.
RH came in, steadied the ship, but since then we have seen that the squad a) isn't as good as it was at the start of the season and b) is playing out time because quite a few of them (rightly) don't expect to be here next season.
Lessons learnt? Not sure. At the moment I also subscribe to the theory that RH will be here at the start of the season, either as manager, or working with someone else. Whoever we have will have to do a pretty major rebuild against pretty high expectations. Agree that we need to make a plan and stick to it this time.

The problem with all this is that we now have a squad where quite a few are on contracts for next season, we would of course either need to find buyers or pay off their contracts.

Interesting to hear RH refer to the Forum's "keyboard warriors" in his interview with Ian Wilding yesterday.

It seriously worries me that the manager of any club would take much notice of forum comments, let alone then mention it in public. Good job we are not a big club where there are several forums and real keyboard warriors ☺

Stability is great yes, and clearly its part of why we have done so poorly this season.
Having said that if a club is to change managers (obviously this will happen from time to time) surely the end of the season is best time for it?
