£3 a ticket in the south stand, hopefully we will get a decent number.
I fancy us for a win tonight, 3-1

Was obvious at 60 minutes we needed subs, team lost their focus and was glaringly obvious we needed to sure up the midfield. Atangana and Carter at fault for both goals. Richard Hill is a ducking clown.

Utter crap, 2 points chucked away against a poor side, which says just how bad we were. This side has no punch, no pace and increasingly in the second half no clue. Lost our shape totally, where was Boudewijn playing full back, wing back, winger? I don't think he knew either! We retreated throughout the second half and invited them into the game not because they were pressuring us because we seems to be reluctant to push forward. Hill did nothing to change things and clearly is no manager at this level. We need someone in quick who can inject urgency into the play and has some tactical nous. On this showing we will be bottom third and clearly our recruitment has been woeful.

First half I thought we did OK, several misplaced passes, but at least looked like we wanted to go forward and score goals.
Second half was abysmal - half an hour of football way below National League standard, then out of the blue we scored a classic goal to go two up, then we let them back into it.
Agree that we needed some subs after about an hour to halt the slide - the new formation (nobody answered my question about it in the Fylde thread), with five at the back and Atangana and Carter in midfield, was fine in the first half, but went down the pan, like the rest, in the second half. Oh yes, and the free-kick given away for ther equaliser by Barlow was utterly stupid.
Good points? Pleased to see Quigley confound the naysayers with a hardworking performance (not everything came off) and two good goals. Clampin had a decent game too. Can't think of much else. Any news on the new manager?
Crowd of 1669 was worryingly low, especially with the £3 offer. 'New' stand didn't seem particularly full. Very quiet this evening, apart from the visitors.
The Eastleigh team announced over the tannoy had two errors (Nwaboukei and Rutherford didn't start, Francillette and Clampin did), reproduced in social media and even on the BBC. Not sure what went wrong there? At least the match report got it right.

What a difference a goal makes. At 2-1 it would have been a satisfactory win against an inform team, who had gone 6 unbeaten. At 2-2 it was a crap performance, crap crowd and get rid of the interim Manager!

Under Hilly we have 2 wins, 2 draws, 1 defeat. So 8/15 points. If we had held on and won last night we would have gone up to 11th and would be just 3 points off the play off spots.
Ok, it sounds like we have no pace, are too pedestrian and unable to see a game out with good game management, but surely its not as gloomy as some are saying? What can be construed as disappointing, is that if we really are looking at appointing a new manager, we are seemingly nowhere near bringing one in, 3 weeks on from sacking Bradbury. Im not sure why the application end date was 3 weeks from the sacking of Bradbury, it should have been given just 1 week for applicants to apply, because lets face it, if you were going to apply, why would you wait 3 weeks to send your CV in. I suspect what really happened is that no one, or no one considered good enough had applied in that first week, so the comms was that we had gone with the 3 week application date.
The questions have to be, why is no one decent applying? - Are potential managers concerned with how many managers we get through? - Are they put off with working with a DOF that has been accused of interfering with what the manager wants to do in the past? - Do they feel there is going to be too much pressure from SD wanting promotion this season, whilst also playing attractive football?
I can't believe there is not at least 3-4 decent managers out there who would do well for us, so whats stopping them applying, or, what is stopping us appointing them?
Thoughts? -

Thanks for the posts after the games, I really do enjoy them now I mainly watch on a stream in Liverpool. Couple of things are clear, we practically ended up having less options off the bench than southend last night, scott and chalwell, if the two who got replaced late on cant start I would doubt they'd come on. A loanee as our CB, I'm sure we had 4 or 5 in this position to start with, no Martin, Camp? Who in that teams got any heart or soul or fight? Who could you ask to lead that team. Thought it was a VERY good first 10. Should have scored on 5 from Maguire, then chances from the quick fire corners. Oxford city to be fair to them stayed in the game but didn't do much, no hard tackles, no real passion or end to end football. 1st goal from them a cracker, 2nd I don't know what the refs seen , a non tackle by Langston ends up in a freekick, wall does its job and he fires it in. Don't know what to say.
