It's early days to expect much of a turn around, but I'm hoping the players will be allowed to express themselves more now the LB shackles have been removed and we see what the team are really capable of. To get that first win of the season would be a huge boost.

Aldershot had no sub keeper on the bench, so had to put a striker in goal.

3-0. I’m not one to count chickens but good to get our first win!

Some cracking interviews from RH before and after the game if there's any way to re watch them. Different man from his Conference South days

We moved up 6 places today. If we keep that up we'll be top of the league in a couple of weeks!

3045 announced, 615 visitors
Definitely better, but shouldn't read too much into it after they played with 10 men and an outfield keeper for more than half the game.
We looked more positive but I thought it was quite even before the red card. Maguire's free-kick would have beaten most proper goalkeepers and we had a big advantage from there. They did quite well up until the second goal and the third (poetic justice after a naughty foul on Francillette) killed them off. We seemed to call it a day then. We didn't test the stand-in keepers very much, but the result was the important thing. Plenty to work on. RH was much better with his subs than his predecessor. I also saw him shouting from the touchline, and we had one up when they had a corner!
Playing Boldewijn up front paid dividends - a completely different player, and Quigley worked his socks off as usual - deserved a goal. Maguire was good again and worked well with Rutherford on the right. Midfield still concerns me. Defence a bit more solid today, hope Francillette is OK, and Joe McD seemed to be struggling a bit with his back, I think.
