So the club are backward thinking signing Macca again? We didn't start this off, the club did!

Why don't we just re-sign all of the Connie South championship players, because most of the fan base appear to think these are the only players who are capable of playing for EFC. I despair with some of the backward thinking 😢 I couldn't agree more. I've heard enough about 'bring greener back' Rubbish. All these favourites have had the chance to prove they are good enough players to get us out this league. It hasn't happened move on.

Yup, so many comments on here & bookface suggest that only certain former players ever gave 100+% & had pride in playing for the club & that the current crop don't care etc. Total rubbish. Any player in a TEAM will get called out by team mates if not pulling their weight. Second half on Tuesday, Mekhi was playing close to where I was standing & their was no doubt at all to his commitment to the cause, even though the team as a whole was struggling.

Dreadful signing. Was decent in his day, but they were some years ago. Perhaps we are preparing for the conference south?

Ok, I might not be popular but imo Macca would have been my man of the match.

Not much competition for mom but he definitely made a big difference, if he's bit quicker and confident as he settles and gets used to the team it may be a shrewd move by SD

I'd probably agree with you there Tyreman. Him or Mcleod. Good fun seeing him put Mcnulty on his arse too!!

One point I would make is that when Craig McAllister played for us in our first season in the National League the team scored 87 goals (the same number as Cheltenham scored last season) and were the second highest scorers in the division. The following season we averaged half a goal per game less and it could be argued that we did not replace Macca's contribution as an impact player.
I also think that sometimes it is a good idea if goals are spread through the team. I see that when Oxford United were promoted from this league in 2010 James Constable was their leading scorer with 22 goals from 37 games.

They have to start with Beano and Macca up front Tuesday. Much as I'm a fan of Willo he's not on form at the moment and ive a feeling those two could play off each other well in front of the goalmouth (if and when those hoofed up balls reach them anyway)

McAllister did OK, think he might well be on the bench on Tuesday though. Yesterday was his first game for quite a few weeks.
I know he is often maligned on here, but I think Beano has been quite unlucky not to start either of the last 2 games.
