Superb stuff and a refreshing outlook, who needs The Echo for the odd comments about EFC when the Manager is happy to inform us himself via video. Come August we'll have a very slick fit squad of players and a force to be reckoned with....This man can seriously raise your excitement levels.

I'm excited about the new signing, Wayne Scales. Not sure what position he plays, left back in the dressing room, I guess.😊😊 Well we have a whole team of left backs so that's probably the best place for Mr Scales. Just wondering if Martin's dog also plays in the same position but running up and down the touchline snapping at the linesmen's ankles when they make a wrong decision could be a better option 😀

Another great interview. Will be a great night tomorrow and I feel certain we'll get the win.

What's the odds they'll probably be a couple of people wandering round selling single red rose's from a bucket..... ;-)

MA was brought in on 3 occasions by Barnet to turn things around in a short space of time, he mentioned that in one of his first interviews with us. When he first started we were still in reach of play offs and he was talking about winning the league this year!!!!
He was saying all the right things but has desperately under delivered!!!
Don't read to much into what he says!!! He has said the signings we have made so far this season are quality... they are not.... why and how will next seasons be any better?

At this moment, no I don't, although his prediction of taking us out of this league this season may well come true......

At this moment, no I don't, although his prediction of taking us out of this league this season may well come true...... 100% our recent games Guisley, Woking and Southport all very very low and we picked up just 2 points, losing the game at home! we have much tougher fixtures coming up.... 15 games left and only 12 points from the bottom 4 so what 7-9 from the battle, that will come down very quickly if we are not careful. We are writing off this season already yet everyone around us will be fighting for their lives!!!

Scrap the siren!! I accept this subject could have its own thread, but who thought of playing the siren before a game? I can guess. The point is that an air raid siren in WW11 was to warn people of what doom was coming & to evacuate to safety. At the last 2 home games that's exactly what us supporters should have done, left the game before it started. The siren is tasteless & must not be used again. Our pre-match presentation is not great, no blame on Dennis Bundy, he does his announcing very well but probably has no desire to get involved in the music side of things. Fair enough. But whoever suggested the pre-game playlist (we know who it is) has NO IDEA about presentation. We could all chose a playlist & they would all be different. So please stick to what your day-job is & don't interfere in something that has nothing to do with you. And will someone please come up with a new playlist & music for the players to walk out to.
It was interesting in one of the interviews with MA this week that he was asked about injuries in the squad &, politician like sidestepped the question completely. It might be bad news, but please respect us supporters enough to tell us the bad news.
We've had promises/indications that there are verbal agreements with 2 high profile players for next season. We must all take this with a pinch of salt. The players in question, no doubt have already asked their agents to look around for clubs willing to pay more. I don't get this "jam tomorrow" type of public relations.
At the moment, we have 2 forwards (Ben Stevens may have played up front in the past), neither of whom can claim to be good in the air, yet we play a long ball game. Utterly brainless. OK, it might one day work with Sam Muggleton's long throws if the centre backs are in the box, but in 3 games I've seen this tactic tried, it's not even looked like working. The ball goes straight to the keeper or onto defenders' heads.
It's looking very much like, unless something dramatic happens, we are set to struggle for the rest of the season. Hopefully we will scrape enough points to avoid the drop, but more displays like last night are going to mean a drop in attendances & fewer people renewing/buying season tickets than for this one. £4 or £5 a game for season ticket holders is outstanding value on the face of it, but after last night & the Woking game, a lot of people will question it.

Must admit I did find the siren at the start pretty tasteless, especially given the substantial bombing of Southampton during the war. Also it would suggest that an air strike was imminent so the Spitfires hadn't been that effective - if anything it should possibly be played after the game...

They do the siren at Gosport ice rink when the Solent Devils ice-hockey team come out. The level of appropriateness is much the same there.
I assume some of the pre-match music last night was chosen by MA again, as was the decision to repeat some of it several times.
If it continues I can see some people arriving at the last minute (with consequent loss of catering sales) to avoid hearing it :-)

I must admit that I am now delaying my entry into the ground, preferring to sit in the car, listening to Talksport (and wonder why our goalkeeper needs two parking spaces). It used to be good to get in a little early, get a cup of coffee, and watch the warmup. I just don't feel like doing it at the moment. Maybe my enthusiasm will return with the warmer weather.
