Yep, when I looked through league 2 managers this morning those were the ones who I thought would be our choice too.
Personally would take Allen over Tisdale, but both would be great. The only reason for that would be that Martin Allen has got out of this league before.
However, there is always Nigel Adkins who lives nice and local in Winchester!? Maybe a step too far just yet for us?? Would certainly see a lot of saints fans come down to watch us though.

The ironic part about this signing is that Bird and Constable should be better for it as both thrive on balls across 6 yard box. Why not try one up top now and see where it leads. Shove Wilson out right, drop Taylor, put Coulson energy Cm as a box to box and let Drury or Jai sit deep and dictate from there. And this my friend is why you won't be our new manager! 😂

In that case Rendal, why start a new thread with inaccuracies, that will only lead to further questions... Just wait until you have the facts, then post eh. Do you just try to be awkward on purpose?! Your posts annoy me.

This post just annoys me. The club just recorded its best ever result last Tuesday and now its "Ronnie out"? Football fans in a nutshell!! It's a shame these few support our great growing club. Rome wasn't built overnight gentlemen!

In defence of the pitch it is so so so much better than last season. The fact the game was on proves that. With all the rain last year it would have been called off. So well done to the grounds team for getting the game on and keeping the pitch in the best condition it can be.
As for the team, I think when York play 8 men back it's very hard to break down, and they had one chance and scored it. On another day we'd have won 1-0 and taken the 3 points. Games like this we need a big lump up top, like that Brodie fella who came on, but just less of an idiot I'd prefer. Mandron is great but needs someone on his wavelength to play with. Mandron, drury, fouls on and 1 other up with then will see us scoring goals for fun. A shame cureton isn't 10 years younger but he still looks more like scoring than some others.
Onto Tuesday, keep positive. They had a great win yesterday, but our boys would have had a great bollocking so who knows how it'll turn out. Support the lads and see what they can do on a nice league standard playing surface 👍
COME ON YOU BOYS IN BLUE!!!

We have some tough games coming up and yesterday was a bit of a shock in terms of the result.
However, I'm always very positive when it comes to our club. Friday will be tricky if cressy is out but we will see. Personally I feel we need another central midfielder. Drury and Taylor are really our only natural centre mids so would like to see someone who can play in there be brought in. I think we have a great squad an should be enjoying the football we are playing and not moan about it all the time! The moaning has only come from the expectation the club has brought from being so successful recently and showing the desire to be a football league club, and what's the issue with that!?
Onwards and upwards, even the best teams lose 4-0 away sometimes, just look at United last weekend. A nice 2-1 win at home on Friday night and onto the 2nd round draw on Monday. I cannot bloody wait!

Just read on their forum they reckon they've sold around 500 so far. Be surprised if it sells out to be honest. Roll on Pompey at home in the 2nd round!

The bid was for Hampton and Richmond striker Jamal Lowe. Talks have broken down and the deal is off, for now...

Played for Hemel, but didnt make an impression there. He's young though so could have improved over the last couple of seasons. One for the future i would say, just a pity that we have to go get other clubs youthful players, and cannot produce our own around this age (22). Really dont understand why we are paying fees for these kind of players though. They are all on short contracts in the Conf South (if on contracts at all), so just wait and get them at end of season...If he really does have Premier league clubs after him, then we don't have a chance of convincing him that we are the right club for him at this stage of his career. Interesting, but there are many kids like this playing lower down the pyramid, every one of them is a risk and maybe a risk worth taking, but very few of them will ever even make it to our level, never mind the Premier League! The big clear obvious no point in questioning it reason is southampton, Pompey, bournemouth, Brighton, Reading, as just local club will poach players from us. So the ones left are ok but won't be first team standard for our league aims. If a parents kid is playing for us and any of those mentioned clubs ask him to sign for them then it's an easy decision as they are all big clubs. This is why the club isn't investing in the youth just yet. When we become a football league club the FA give £250,000 to every league club for their academy's, and strictly for that only. This is when we'll see Eastleigh really be able to show parents of these kids that this could be the right place for them. An actual academy can be built and more coaches and equipment invested back to the youth teams. Until then we will have to buy our own players.

Not sure I would describe Ched Evans as interesting coverage. I can think of nothing more vile then having to play against a team with him in it! Let alone him taking any attention away from us. Why is it vile?? Proven innocent. I think the guy deserves a break!!

Played well first half, but strikers just aren't good enough. Not enough goals coming from our strikers this season. If we had a 20 goal plus striker we would be title contenders. Ricky Miller please! Yes please. Him or Rowe from AFC Flyde. One of them would be great. Would prefer Miller as he's proven at this level but I reckon he'd cost a bit to get him off Dover?

Will be heading up to this one. First away day with Eastleigh. So excited for it!
Just seen they charge £18 entry! Just goes to show what great prices Stewart and the board have agreed! I always feel if a club like this charged £10 a ticket they'd get so many more in, who'd then spend money on food and drink, etc anyway. Never understood why small clubs like this charge so much!
