Did'nt take long did it. When its even more pricey, Barrow, Gateshead, Hartlepool to name a few, they'll get cancelled too. Just keep looking after the corporates and charging ordinary supporters £3 to enter a bar.
It's a bloody shame but you've priced it out of reach when you start offering cheap travel to Spitfire Club members, everyone joins up, but then you don't get enough money in to pay for the coach. That's what TSSC has done for its own ends, to get memberships up. Coach travel should be ONE PRICE fits all, regardless of age and memberships.
Why is it concession at the football club is aged 60+ (ST/Ground Entry) but on the coach its 65+

This constant critisism of TSSC is so unjustified. Problem is simple-for the reign of Mr Donald travel was subsidised. Now its not. Previously a youth could travel for £5 anywhere in the country--very cheap child care some may think. Now the coach has to be worth running and that is fair enough in my book. Lucky to have someone offer to run it at all-in their own time- they make nothing from it. I'm not interested in the past history of TSSC-I'm not interested in constant whinges about Corporate people or Sherwoods entry or prawn sandwiches. One price fits all-- no. that would prohibit the older supporter or the disabled supporter. You really do need to think things out. Maybe a bit of praise or thanks once in a while wouldn't go amiss

bit tinpot isn't it? only the 3rd away game I'd say it's down to apathy when the whole set up at EFC has become stale.

I'd say its a combination of factors- holiday time, cost, cricket season to name 3. Too easy to blame EFC. It will take time for things to settle down.

For the ones who wanted to go. Such a long time since we had no official transport to a game!

I believe that 17 had booked on and there is now a co-ordinated effort with some driving and taking the rest as passengers.

A smaller coach/minibus is surprisingly not a great deal cheaper than a 47 seater coach and we do not have the budget to be making losses like this.
Everything has been done to try and resolve the situation, including at looking at smaller coaches/minibus (see above) and a decision had to be made to cancel the coach.
However, all those booked on the coach are now car sharing so that we can still go and support the team. The support of the fans means an awful lot to the players, management and coaching team (no pun intended.....). Let’s get behind the lads.

Unfortunately because 3 of the 4 away games in September are 5 to 6 hours travel time the costs will be higher add in the entrance money plus food and drink it all becomes a very dear month about £300 to £350 for a couple to watch 4 away matches so I think you can be fairly certain that traveling supporters numbers will be low during September a great shame but a sign of changing priorities.

Bottom line has to be that Stewart paid for people to travel round the country and sold them the story that we were going on an adventure that would mean promotion and league football. It's a pretty easy sell when backed up with large amounts of money.
Unfortunately, the story today is that we want you to come with us but you'll have to pay the going rate and the aim is that we are going to try and stay in this league if we can! Not such an easy sell, given that the attraction of fairly priced entertainment pulled in a lot of disillusioned Premier League fans who couldn't/wouldn't pay £40 a pop to watch that level of football but don't really have any loyalty to Eastleigh.
The truth of the matter is standing at The Silverlake cheering your team on in the cold/rain does not compare to the package offered by Sky & BT who are selling the same dream Stewart did without having to leave your lounge.
We got the kids in because it was so cheap for them and something different but you have to work bloody hard to keep a young audience focused and it was always going to depend on success on the pitch for that audience.
Still onwards and upwards fair play to TSSC who are working hard for the fans and for those working hard please ignore the drivel spouted by some who are so heavily weighed down by the chips on their shoulder that they have to make things up to get attention.

If there are 17 people wanting to travel who were committed enough to pay up front, couldn't they have travelled on the team coach? Or is that a bit old-fashioned nowadays?
