Highest ranked team we've played at home for some time & we often struggle to perform well against the Wood. It will be a tough test for us & any win will be a great result & hopefully a springboard towards the play-off places. Jamie Turley now plays for them, be interesting to see how he does.
Weather looking a bit carp for Saturday but with the excellent work done on the pitch by Barnsey & Co, we can be confident the game will go ahead.

for a team in 8th, Boreham wood have quite an away record.
They haven't lost on the road for over 2 months having played 7 games in that time & they've only had 3 away defeats in 19 all season.

for a team in 8th, Boreham wood have quite an away record. They haven't lost on the road for over 2 months having played 7 games in that time & they've only had 3 away defeats in 19 all season. You're counting in their cup matches as well Rendel which is not league form!!! For the record, they have not lost away since Sept 16th at Maidenhead, so unbeaten away run is currently 11 games. Their only other away defeat was also in Sept at Barrow. In 16 away games they've conceded only 15 goals which is the 3rd best, Dover and Wrexham are joint best with 13. Their other 'away' defeat as you mention Rendel was a 3-0 FA Cup defeat at Coventry.
Borehamwood tend to play good football, on the floor and pretty quick on the break if the past matches we've had are anything to go by against them. This is an interesting fixture, they've got a mean defence, we haven't, but they don't score many on the road although they have hit 6 in their last two away matches at Ebbsfleet and Dagenham with 3 each game, overall they've scored 19 in their last 14 away games which also includes a 4-0 win at Maidstone, so 3 games account for 10 of those 19 away goals to leave 9 from 11 matches in the others. We are good attack wise so its difficult to predict.
We are unbeaten in 9 and confidence is high, so putting it all together into the melting pot I'm going for a 3-1 home win. Many good judges reckon Borehamwood will be in the play offs, a win will put us 3 points behind them, though they've played a game less....the miracle is most definitely on!!!!!

I think this one could be almost anything. Hard to back against Eastleigh at the moment, so I am going for 2-2.

yup you are right SOE, an even better away record just looking at league games. Nearly 5 months without a deafeat, that is quite something.
hopefully the run will end tomorrow :0)

See they have just got planning for a new terrace behind the goal so a club that is going forwards, despite having pretty poor crowds

Borehamwood is another London suburban club that has always struggled to attract more than a few hundred fans despite playing attractive football over the years. I lived in Hertfordshire for many years and like St Albans the Wood always suffered in that most local residents would opt to watch one of the many nearby FL clubs. At lot of locals watch Arsenal or Watford. I can plead guilty - when I lived in St Albans and Harpenden, I used to get the train and go to Kenilworth Road, Luton to see First Division football in the 1970s.

Should be a very good game with at least 4 goals what an odd thing to say? sort of thing an 8 year old lad going to his second game would say to his dad. "No son, we are the team in blue and we need to score more goals than the other team to win." football is a simple game
